I needed support twice from ZVV for train tickets issues I had and both in person and via email their customer service was welcoming, responsive, and professional. I was really pleasantly surprised and highly recommend them! Great experience.

Rhey are always late, the drivers are waiting for no reason in the middle of the way, a lot of people lost their jobs cause of this.

If you're just a tourist looking to buy a tram ride, DO NOT try to create an account on this app. After providing a lot of personnal information, you would end up repeatedly failing to link a swisscard account to your swisscard account, whatever that might mean. And after 20 minutes or so, your fingers will become really cold and you'll end up buying your 2.80 CHF paper ticket at the nearest machine. Save the trouble.

Daniel the tram driver from line 10 helped us find our suitcase that we forgot at the tram. Very kind and super helpful and efficient.

I had a terrible experience with Zurich's public transport inspectors. The whole process is utterly ridiculous. They force you to give your personal details and sign documents without any clear explanation of why. It’s done in such a way that you feel pressured into complying, and at the end of it, you’re hit with a fee.

Even if you buy a ticket and it’s slightly incorrect, they still charge you—no room for understanding or flexibility. It’s as if they don’t care about customer service or providing clear information; all they want is to take your money! The way they operate feels like something from a dictatorship.

It’s funny, in a sad way, that in this day and age, we’re still treated like this. It’s absolutely ridiculous the way they handle everything. The controllers are rude and dismissive, adding to the frustration.
On top of that, the homeless can ride the trams and trains for free, threatening passengers, and they’re never charged. This is just another example of how this system is completely unfair—it's as if there’s no consistency or justice in the enforcement of rules.

And don’t get me started on the summer months—public transport here doesn’t even have air conditioning! It gets unbearably hot, and the stench is awful. People are sweating, and it’s hard to breathe in the packed cars. It’s simply unacceptable, especially in such an advanced city like Zurich.

This system is oppressive and feels outdated. Avoid using their services unless you want to be unfairly treated!

Bus connection wasn't as advertised on sbb app. Took over 1.5 hour for a 20 Minute journey

Never trust the connections given by the time table. Anywhere close to rush hour you are bound to miss a connection and if you are hoping to catch a train…forget it. Given that i pay 2500.- a year for this i would expect that a connection suggested by the ZVV travel planer works more than the current 1 out of 5 times. This costs me 2h a week that i spend waiting for the train because i miss the one i supposedly should be able to catch

I always buy tickets and also have a monthly Abo for zone 110 yet one time I forget to get an extension for a tram stop that was only one stop across the zone line and get charged a disgusting amount of money as a fine. It would honestly be cheaper to never buy tickets and get a fine from time to time… workers were rude and no help at all when I explained the situation and said I would buy the extension ticket now (which only costs 3.10 btw)
