The most useless customer service app and user experience ever experienced. The problem is that you have no alternative choice and that means they don't need to care to give any kind of service. If you can avoid them!

Since September 2024, I’ve only been using my Telepass for (short-term) parking. That usually amounts to no more than €2–€4.
Since then, I’ve had several charges that I can’t account for.
One was for €39, and another was for €24.90 in April 2026.
I was on the phone for over an hour today before I finally got to speak with a representative.
I canceled my contract and asked what the April charge was for.
She said it was a back payment for the period from 1/1/24 to 1/1/25, in case too little had been charged. NON-TRANSPARENT & UNPROFESSIONAL!!

I’ve been trying to close my Telepass account since November, and now it’s already March, and they are still sending me charges for subscriptions, random balances, and supposed fines. I’ve already paid around €100 without even using Telepass for several months, yet they keep billing me. I have no idea how to stop this. This is honestly unbelievable, it feels like next-level scamming.

I bought a Telepass Grab&Go device, but I was never able to use it.

During registration, the SMS verification code is not delivered to non-Italian phone numbers. I checked all phone settings and network restrictions on my side – everything is correct. The problem is clearly on Telepass’s side.

To make things worse, customer support is almost impossible to reach:

Emails receive no reply

The automatic response says emails are not read

The online contact form requires an Italian tax code and an Italian phone number, which foreign customers do not have

I later discovered that many other international users report the same issue, so this is not an isolated case.

As a foreign customer, you can easily pay for the device but cannot activate or use it.
This results in wasted time, money, and a lot of frustration.

I strongly do NOT recommend Telepass Grab&Go to non-Italian users.

Impossibile attivare il Telepass Grab&Go: la App si impalla, cosa verificata anche da un operatore del Punto telepass di zona che, pur gentile e disponibile, non mi ha potuto dare alternative se non quella di fare un reclamo. Complimenti per la politica di marketing! Passerò alla concorrenza.

Their customer service is not reachable. I have been trying to reaching them since three weeks without any result

Basically a scam. Would rate zero if I could as the app wont recognise either my own credit card or my partners, so we cant even sign up. Waste of 30 euros. Terrible app/website.

PROs.
It works most of the times. I have never used it abroad. The app is a bit complex, but it shows the toll details just a few hours after passing the barrier.
There is a good network of service points where i can take and give the toll device, or make some changes to the contract.
CONs.
The prices are absurdly high, I pay 4.00€/month, plus an insurance that I never asked at 3.00€/month, with competitors at 1.50€/month. The call center is very hard to contact and it very rarely solves problems.

I am an Italian speaker so communicating with the support centre is fine for me. Because of fraud on my associated card, it was cancelled and I missed a payment and I got a notification that the account was suspended. No problem. New card arrives and is registered and outstanding amount collected on August 22nd. Two days later I get the same "suspension" message because they could not collect the €4 monthly charge. I have called 3 times and get a variety of useless suggestions but no resolution. They cannot explain how one payment goes through but the next one fails and suggest I call the bank. Well of course I did and got the expected reply......there is no problem with your card. The latest suggestion is wait until 2nd September and check then. I asked if I could speak to their accounts/payment department but got blanked, so I am now in limbo and wait with little faith for the 2nd September that the problem is fixed. The hysterical intermediate event was that I received an invitation to comment on my experience. I basically relayed all of what I have just written on the feedback form but it would not send because of a technical error. For the sake of clarity I am a Telepass Go customer.

I have tried to register on their website twice. The site is just not functional. I can pretty much guarantee something will go wrong. In my case it first did not recognize my (perfectly functional) creditcard. In the second case I cleared that hurdle without a hitch, but I need to comfirm my phonenumber (why, by the way?). A code to do that is on it's way by sms... Well... no. It just never comes. The website and their service are so incredible bad, it deserves to be called a scam. Or at least some Italian politicians should form an investigatory committee about it. Save your time and just use your creditcard at the tollboots. Or even better... take the slow road and experience more of Italy without paying the companies that can't do better then this.

I am shocked at the incompetence. 3 year's of the telepass go and this is the result. 1st year, worked in Italy but on a couple of occasions, not in France. Called their customer service and got the excuses that the French had not set up the account. 2nd year, worked in Italy but on a couple of occasions, not in France. Called customer service service and got the reason that I must not used it correctly, which I found strange as the barrier opened entering the motorway but not exiting. 3rd year, not working in France and Italy. Ok. Let's go to Eni fuel station Podenzano, as recommended on Telepass website. They said the battery is flat but could not exchange the tag, but we're very helpful in providing 2 other Eni fuel stations. As it happens I went to Piacenza the following day so asked at Vodafone and they gave me the same Eni fuel station in Piacenza. At this Eni fuel station they could not replace the tag but were very helpful by calling Telepass directly and was told I had to go to a service centre to resolve the issue. Over the phone they were given several options including Reggio Emilia. It was over it hour away but ok, I need to sort it out. Eventually I got there but as it was now lunch, they didn't reopen until 14:30. A good reason for me to eat too. This service centre, as indicated on Telepass websit, ceased with Telepass two weeks prior. Brilliant. They did direct me to Vodafone at the local commercial centre and assured me they could resolve the problem. Eventually I got there only to be told Vodafone are not able to provide a full service yet. I am genuinely shocked at the incompetence of this company. Professional website but don't be fooled.

Telepass have changed my Pay per Use contract, they expect me to return my device which I only got in March , and pay again €10 for another / my old device for the tolls. Customer service are useless.

They cancel a product (Pay as you Go) and tell you they will send communication around this how to transfer to another plan or you be automatically opted in for another (of course more expensive) plan.

The first announcement came 21st of June by email with the info that from July plan would no longer exist. Until today 11th of July still waiting on the instructions.

Submitted several support requests how to proceed and change the contract, didn't get any follow up. Got an email today they called me but I didn't answer... still waiting for that call to happen.

I tried to create an account for the Go service. The interface mixed up my billing address (UK) with my delivery address (GR). So I cancelled my order to fix the addresses. Then it was impossible to navigate in Italian and 1. fix the addresses 2. complete my Go subscription. This system should not be used by anyone not speaking Italian.

I had problems completing the process online and went to the Centro commercial in Cinecitta. A young lady (Sara) managed to resolve the problem and gave me instructions to follow through by phone the next day. The staff member on the phone was also patient and helpful. The website and the procedures are terrible!
