My name is Neera Mahajan, and I am the creator of this publication.

Before I tell you what you will get here, let me tell you a little bit about myself and why this publication exists.

I am the author of 15 books, and more are on the way. My goal is to write 100 books in this decade.

I did not become an author because I was good at writing. I became an author because I was bad at writing. There was a time in my corporate career when my boss told me something that stayed with me:

“The only thing standing between you and a senior management position is your written English.”

I was devastated when I heard it. But instead of stepping back, I decided to take it as a challenge. I joined a life story writing group. Not to improve business writing, but to learn how to tell stories.

Slowly, my writing improved.

Yes, I did get that senior management role. But something else happened. I fell in love with writing. The writing bug bit me hard, and it never left.

In 2019, I retired early to become a full-time writer.

I started writing online. First on my blog. Then on Medium.com, and on Substack. For the past five years, I have been writing consistently on Substack. All this time I didn’t care about growth or monetisation. I just wanted to get better at writing.

The book that changed everything

In 2021, I wrote my first book, How To Write And Publish An eBook In One Week.

I wrote it in one week and published it just 30 minutes before my self-imposed deadline. That book became my bestseller. And more importantly, it changed how I saw writing.

I realised something powerful: Writing a book gives your ideas weight. It gives you authority. Since then, I have written multiple books. Today, I am the author of 15 books.

But the real shift came later.

Why Author Circle exists

When I finally started concentrating on growth and monetization I struggled. I watched people who started much later than me… grow to 20,000, 30,000 subscribers…

Some making over $100K a year. Others even hitting $100K a month. Meanwhile, I felt stuck. So I stepped back and asked myself a hard question: What’s not working?

And I found two problems.

• First… I wasn’t offering anything people felt compelled to buy. My content was good, but it didn’t lead anywhere.

• Second… I wasn’t leaning into my real authority.

My authority is in writing and publishing books.

And once I saw that, everything changed.

In January 2026, I shifted my focus. I started helping people build authority by writing and publishing a book in their niche.

I published my own book One Book To $100K: The Proven Book-Led Path to a Six-Figure Business.

My book became a bestseller in New Releases on Amazon without any ads of a big launch. My cohort course got filled in three weeks.

That’s when it became very clear.
