I used to make playlists the way some people keep journals.

Every month, I’d pull together songs—old favorites, new discoveries, things I had on repeat—and that mix would become the soundtrack to that chapter of my life. Looking back, I can tell exactly who I was by what was on those playlists.

Memory Mixtape comes from that habit. It’s a place to do the same thing, just with words. Longer thoughts. Tangents. Things that don’t fit neatly into captions. An escape hatch from Instagram and a way to track what I’m thinking about, returning to, and carrying forward.

If you subscribe, here’s what you’ll get:

  • A very queer point of view. In fact, every “track” on this playlist is gay.

  • Honest, often vulnerable writing grounded in my day to day life and lived experiences.

  • The occasional tangent, because that’s part of the point.

  • Notes on books, film, music, and culture; and how those connect over time for me

  • An ongoing record of my creative work, not just the polished highlights.

I’m not aiming for perfection or consistency for consistency’s sake. This is more of a working archive; something I add to as I go, revise when I need to, and return to when something sticks.

If that sounds like something you’d enjoy reading along with, then do subscribe.
