Oh hi, there.

I'm Lex, and this is my little space to explore life and what it entails.

What's Lexistential?

Lexistential is my attempt to make sense of the world through words, and maybe help you do the same.

Lexistential is a weekly (and sometimes more) newsletter for those who chronically ask more questions than give answers. It's for anyone who's ever looked at the absurdity of life and thought, "There's got to be more to this story."

It's a space where we can explore:

  • The absurdity of everyday existence

  • The struggle to create and pursue our dreams

  • The joy of finding humor in the darkest moments

  • The power of authentic storytelling and vulnerability

Why subscribe?

For free subscribers:

  • Weekly essays that blend introspection with a healthy dose of humor

For paid subscribers: (thank you)

  • Exclusive content that digs even deeper into our shared human experience

  • Writing prompts and creative exercises to spark your own existential journey

  • The warm fuzzy feeling of supporting independent writing (and helping feed my kids and my book addiction)

A bit about Lex

I'm a writer, questioner, filmmaker, and creative wingwoman (founder of Bandit Creative Studio) with a background in storytelling across various mediums. I've worn many hats—from documentary filmmaker to tech content strategist.

In 2014, my world turned upside down when my second child was born sick and only stayed with us for seven months. Writing became my lifeline, my way of making sense of the senseless.

From 2014 to 2016, I wrote very publicly, but then I stopped for many reasons.

Since then, I've worked at the Today Show, created documentaries, and even dabbled in tech.

But now, I'm embarking on Plan B: using my creative skills to help others turn their "what could be" into reality. I use my company (Bandit) to help create that world by empowering and equipping underrepresented visionaries to help make all their dreams come true (I’d be a fairy godmother if I could, to be honest).

And I’m also getting back to what makes me feel most alive—writing. After spending years (in kind of hiding) telling other people's stories, I'm finally brave enough to start sharing my own again.

The Lexistential promise

Here's what I can promise you: honesty, imperfection, and a genuine attempt to connect. No polished personas, no carefully curated images - just the real real.

I promise more questions than answers.

And maybe, just maybe, we'll figure out some of this life stuff together.
