What people are saying:

“A critical voice at a critical time.”

“I love your honest and raw interpretations of life. I feel less alone.”

“Lachrista’s newsletter is so thoughtful and reflective. The introspection and wisdom is unmatched.”

Rage & Softness is a free newsletter offering a unique view from someone who has been chronically online in feminist spaces since 2011. The byline is: “Navigating vulnerability & resistance, disability & ableism, and the ambivalence of online culture from a Marxist feminist librarian death doula.” It’s a mouthful, for sure!

I publish an essay on each Friday at 10am CST to all subscribers, which also includes a list of links. I write critical commentary on a variety of topics, including a lot about my personal life and living with Sensory Processing Disorder and C-PTSD.

A note on subscriptions

I mostly keep my writing for free subscribers, but I do publish some more personal things to paid subscribers. Please consider paying for my work and labor.

My name is Lachrista Greco, which translates to “the Greek female Christ” in Italian. I’m a writer, educator, librarian, and strega living on Ho-Chunk Land (Madison, Wisconsin). I’m a consultant to organizations and universities on preventing digital violence (and teaching survivors how to cope). I’m also a trained death doula and grief support specialist. You can read more about those services here and here.

I’m most known in these internet streets for being the human behind @lachristagreco (formerly theguerrillafeminist/guerrillafeminism), which has 218K followers. GF initially started as a performance art campaign in 2011 in Chicago, blending social justice activism and viewer’s interactions with feminist statements and images.

I have published three books: the first, an anthology called, Olive Grrrls: Italian North American Women & The Search For Identity (2013), in which I was the editor, the second, a book of poems titled, Leftovers (2015), and a memoir, The Guerrilla Feminist: A Search For Belonging Online & Offline (2025). My writing was also published in the anthology, Post-Traumatically Stressed Feminist (2017). I’m currently working on a new book of poems called, Lift Me Out of the Wound.

I have an MLIS in Library & Information Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MA in Women’s & Gender Studies from DePaul University, and a BS in Creative Writing from Edgewood University.
