Welcome
Hello everybody and thank you for being here with me. I am Julie Friend, a chef and food writer whose life changed significantly when I won BBC MasterChef back in 1997. I had always loved cooking (and eating) but that was the moment I decided to make food my career. I am now a private chef, a food writer and run a diminutive dining experience from my garden in Kent, called the Tiny Table. I am also the Vice Chair of the Guild of Food Writers.
What will you find here?
The honest answer is, a real mix of things, but undoubtedly food will almost always feature. I travel a lot and love to explore different cuisines, markets, restaurants, so there will be some recommendations, a few tips and insights into my food centric world. Some life, some recipes and definitely a bunch of memories. An eclectic culinary mix.
