“What now? Why?”
My column was discontinued from the StarTribune - an ineffective use of resources, I was told. Maybe it was inefficient. Perhaps inefficacious? One of those ine- word. Whatever, it’s dead.
But I’ve been writing columns on a regular basis for 46 years, if I stretch the definition of “regular.” Why stop?
Subscribers get full access to two weekly columns and a Wednesday bonus. There will be free ones at random.
“But I read the Bleat at lileks.com”
This is different. The Bleat is a rambling mess. The columns are carefully crafted essays (which are slightly less of a rambling mess.)
“I am tired of paying for things on the internet”
I hear you. But $5 a month comes out to 41 cents per column, and that’s not bad.
