Hey there!
Welcome to Diary of a Sad Black Woman—an online ‘zine for Baddies with Big Feelings! This is a safe space for Sad Girls to chat about their woes and, most importantly, seek joy together.
And who am I? My name’s Jacque Aye. I’m a published author and comic book writer who loves wearing cheap fashion, discussing fiction, and dissecting feelings…heavy on the feelings.
More about me? I’ve been a certified Sad Girl™ for as long as I can remember.
I’m also neurodivergent! And I have a thing for writing about flawed women who suffer from anxiety and depression. Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything 😅.
Inspired by authors like Haruki Murakami, Sayaka Murata, and Lemony Snicket, my stories are whimsical, dark, and sometimes humorous with a hint…well, a bunch…of absurdity.
