Slow transfer of dollard
I am disappointed (and frankly very shocked) that for the last three transfers I have had to wait 3-7 days for my US Dollars to be transferred from my US Bank to my dollar bank account at Wise. The money is instantly removed from my bank account but I have to wait. I might understand if I were moving large sums of money but this had been the case when it’s only a few hundred dollars.

Wasn’t quite sure I was doing things correctly and they could see I wasn’t. Advised me how and helped me complete transaction. So easy to use overseas - found in some countries you do require a physical Wise card otherwise digital so easy. I’ve recommended a few friends to Wise.

Been using Wise transfer services for years...
I been using Wise on a regular basis to transfer funds from America to various countries. I use Wise 90% of the time because they're reliable, and I've never had major issue with the transfer.
There is one oddity, and it seems to happen every now and again. Wise seems to "hold" my funds for 2 to 3 days before they begin the transfer process, making the entire transfer take up to a week. Other transfers, even out of the same account, can complete in as little as seconds up to one day.
Other than that, Wise is a reliable and efficient way to transfer money between countries. I would recommend them to both friends and family.

I have transfered money to Vietnam and it still hasn't cleared 3 days later. You advertise it takes seconds for the recipient to receive the money. That is false advertising. Why is it taking so long??

Wise is fraudulent…
Wise keep ask me to submit a lot of documents and doing identity verification, which is very frustrating and annoying. I had Wise account for two years, and recently being keep asked to do verification, I do not do anything suspected or strange, I just want to send 50 pounds out, and the transaction was paused and a lot of troubles coming to me. Wise is fraud, do not use it, otherwise you will lose your mind and temper. their customer service is really bad. They always say they are regulated, but I think it is just their excuse to steal my money and ruin my right and freedom. Do not trust it anymore.

Bank abruptly not supported
Suddenly, my bank account was no longer supported by wise as of October 2025. I called wise, and they said they knew about it. I called my bank and they also knew about it. I reported a bug to Wise, since there was clearly a bug in a software update, and that whether it’s wise or the bank, they should work with their vendors to correct the issue.
No urgency and it’s now 1-year later with no resolution in sight. Adding an external account via bank and choosing wise with Plaid does not work. As does the reverse, adding the bank account from wise with Plaid. Customer service reps just beat around the bush and say they will provide help in subsequent emails, which has to this date never been helpful.
1 star because I literally have to go to a different app.
