Devour life on a Devour Food Tour and feed something deeper. Travel is about immersing yourself in local culture, and there’s no better way to do that than through food! Food brings people together, no matter where you’re from or what language you speak. Bite into the flavors of 18 cities across the world in countries like Spain, Italy, France, the US and more. A Devour Food Tour and Experience gives you much more to savor than just a meal, it gives you nourishment for the soul. On a Devour Tour you’ll devour delicious foods, stories, art, and culture across nine countries in Europe and North America. Each experience goes beyond food, connecting you with the heartbeat of a city through its flavors, history, and the people who bring it to life. The first Devour Tour was a deep dive into Madrid's vibrant food culture and a way to support the city's mom-and-pop shops. Founder Lauren Aloise visited and befriended locals, and this insider’s angle gave the first Devourers a different perspective on their city. Now, curious guests the world over can feed their mouths and souls with our food tours. So take a walk with us and Devour all that life has to offer.

5 Stars — Francesca Made Ancient Rome Come Alive!
Francesca was an outstanding guide! Her depth of knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the Colosseum and its history vividly to life. She helped us imagine not only how this extraordinary structure was built, but what it must have been like at the height of the Roman Empire. Rather than simply looking at ancient ruins, we came away with a real sense of the people, engineering, and events that made this place so remarkable. Her enthusiasm and expertise made the tour both fascinating and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!
We booked both the Pasta Class in Rome and the Colosseum 4 hr tour. Both were MARVALOUS - such a fun pasta class with great teachers - the perfect way to start our vacation! The tour of the Colosseum the next day was super informative (and a whole lot of walking!) Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!
I booked Devour’s Ultimate Lisbon Food Tour on 24 August and paid €83. Extremely heavy rain delayed my Uber, and I reached the meeting point around 10:10 for a 10:00 departure. I had already contacted customer service and was on the phone with them when I arrived.
Yes, I was late. I understood that the group had to leave. I simply asked where the next stop was so I could catch up. For a three-hour walking food tour, that hardly seemed an extraordinary request.
Apparently, it was. Customer service told me they could not locate the group. A company running a guided tour could not help a paying customer find its own tour, even while speaking to her directly.
They offered to reschedule for the following day, when I was leaving Lisbon. That option was useless to me. My refund request was refused, and subsequent correspondence brought more explanations of the late-arrival policy. They could, however, provide a “no-show” document for my insurance. Being on the phone, standing at the meeting point and actively trying to join apparently still amounts to not showing up.
I cannot review the food because I never tasted any. I can review the customer service: rigid, deeply disappointing, and remarkably unhelpful when it mattered.
The only taste this €83 experience left was a bitter one.
My husband and i took Statue of Liberty and Ellis
Island Tour: Tour for 2 today with Rick
It was an excellent comprehensive tour.
It was mostly due to Rick’s excellent role as a smart informed enthusiastic guide. He kept the 13 of us, across all age demos, highly engaged throughout the three hour tour. His directions were clear. His history lessons on all aspects of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were insightful and entertaining.
We highly recommend
My daughter and I took the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island tour. Our guide was Ronald and he was excellent. He was friendly, professional and knowledgable. He ensured everyone in the group was taken care of and since I have knee issues, he made sure to wait up or check on me so no one was left behind. I recommend this tour and most definitely Ronald.
This was an absolute disaster that was basically a scam. We arrived ahead of the planned departure time and waited at the exact location where we were meant to meet up and start the tour in San Sebastian. Part of our group walked around for 15 minutes trying to find the tour guide. We called customer service and were on hold for nearly 30 mins at the end of which we were told the tour departed and we were unable to join them, get in contact with the host or get our money back. I’ve put a fraud dispute on my credit card for this booking which was more than USD 400. Buyer definitely beware here. We reached out to the tour company and have received no reply.
We were 5 minutes late for our tour because of train delays. We contacted the company to tell them we were running late and they were of zero help. Please be aware when booking that customer service is appallingly bad.
Great food tour, excellent guide ,some fabulous stops and a great insight into the history of Seville
We had issues with our tour of the Vatican and on May 16th I sent a detailed email with a summary of the issue and my requested resolution. I have never received a response to the email. I have followed up 3x by phone and each time I am told they received my email, it is being worked, and the issue will be escalated due to the length of time it is taking to resolve. I still have had no response or resolution. This is the worst customer service! I can only assume they are delaying in the hopes I will give up. The last rep I spoke with said they were “very short staffed”. What does that say about the volume of complaints they must be dealing with if after 6 weeks I have received nothing?
We booked a tour that specifically included the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about art history. His explanations throughout the Vatican Museums were excellent, and we appreciated his expertise.
However, we were very disappointed that our tour never visited St. Peter's Basilica, despite it being advertised as part of the experience. During the tour, it was never clearly explained that we would not be entering the Basilica. Instead, additional time was spent in the Vatican Museums, and by the time the tour ended, St. Peter's had already closed for a special event. We walked there ourselves afterward only to find that it had closed around 3:30 p.m.
Had we been informed earlier that access to St. Peter's would be an issue, the itinerary could have been adjusted, or at the very least, expectations could have been managed more honestly. Our frustration is not with the guide's knowledge or professionalism, but with how this situation was handled.
The main reason for my low rating is the company's lack of customer service afterward. I have opened a case, sent emails, and spent more than 30 minutes on hold trying to speak with someone, yet I have received no meaningful response. When a major advertised portion of a tour is missed, customers deserve prompt communication and a resolution.
The guide was excellent, but the overall experience fell short because a key part of the tour was not delivered and the company has been extremely difficult to contact regarding the issue.
We had a lovely food tour yesterday 1st June with Paula
Paula gave us so much cultural info and tasty food and drink
A perfect guide She looked after us very well
Thank You x
Great tour of Seville hostelries with Mercedes. Plenty of really interesting information on pairing food and drinks, mixed in with culture and history of Spain. Lots of fun and a great way to get an insight into Seville and Spain. Highly recommend.

We took a Vatican City tour with Walks and Devour Tours. The tour was outstanding and a highlight of our week in Rome. The logistics (meeting point...) were well organized and the instructions were easy to follow. The tour guide, Jeb, was amazing. The 3 hour tour flew by. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept the tour moving at an ideal pace. I highly recommend the tour, especially with Jeb.

Even though it was a chilly rainy day, we had some really amazing food. We tried a variety of delicious savory foods, cheese/wine pairings and scrumptious sweets and pastries. Our tour guide was wonderful and informative. We had just arrived that day and it was well worth taking this tour and introducing us to Paris. Thank you for this delicious food tour and we definitely recommend!!

Our guide was great. He took us to some very interesting tapas bars and his knowledge of both Tapas and the history of Madrid was phenomenal. I would defintely book with them again
