Our goal is to extend Diablo Canyon Power Plant’s (DCPP’s) operations to at least 2045. DCPP is California’s only nuclear power plant. Additional background and supporting material is found at the Californians for Green Nuclear Power website at https://CGNP.org The bulk of our regulatory and oversight filings are located at the California Public Utilities Commission website. CGNP has also been an intervenor before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC.)

The CPUC “Docket Card” application at https://apps.cpuc.ca.gov/apex/f?p=401:1:0 may be used to search for relevant Proceedings such as A.16-08-006, the Proceeding which proposed to needlessly shut down Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) by 2025. CGNP was the lone party of 55 which forcefully advocated for DCPP extended operations. Allowing for DCPP extended operations was the final Decision in A.16-08-006. See D.22-12-005 Decision Implementation of Senate Bill 846 on December 6, 2022. CGNP has continued to advocate for DCPP extended operations in many Proceedings since December, 2022. DCPP’s operations are now extended to 2030. Working together, we can extend DCPP’s operations at least until 2045.
