Some people are respectful, send me opportunities I am qualified for, and send me an email. Others put stuff in front of me which is irrelevant to my background, call me incessantly and don't follow up. It's a 5 star for the former and 1 star for the latter.

Good communications from GLG reps, 2/month projects, easy to get paid.

GLG provides its experts with all they need to have a successful client engagement. The experience begins with thoughtful and relevant screening questions and ends with easy client call scheduling. In addition, GLGs screening question system and its use of AI streamlines that part of the engagement process. However, it's the people at GLG that sets it apart from other companies in this space.

GLG has been a pleasure to work with as an industry expert. Their coordinators are professional, responsive, and have a strong understanding of the subject matter, which helps ensure the right connections between clients and experts. The platform is intuitive, user-friendly, and makes managing engagements seamless. I especially appreciate the AI-powered support, which eliminates the need to repeatedly answer the same vetting questions and makes the overall experience much more efficient. Overall, GLG provides a well-organized and enjoyable expert network experience.

Team is friendly and professional. Genuinely wanted to see their customers get the service they asking for. Quick invoicing and payments. Lots of leads to choose from. They could be a little better detailed at times as they seemed a bit "cookie cutter" during the questionnaire portion, but nothing remotely close to an issue or alarming. Great experience overall.

Great projects and have had great interactions with staff. My only issue is that sometimes I apply for many and get none - would be helpful to have a better "hit" rate -maybe qualification changes could help to only serve up projects with better chance of getting.

I joined GLG as an invited expert and was genuinely excited at the prospect of contributing my experience and opening up further consulting opportunities. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been very disappointing.

A significant amount of time and effort goes into completing detailed Q&As and project proposals, only for some applications to be rejected within minutes of submission. Given that my area of expertise is relatively niche, this has left me questioning whether certain opportunities are genuine live projects or simply an exercise in gathering information from experts during the screening process.

On one occasion, I specifically requested feedback after being rejected and was told that I did not have sufficient experience in the particular market. This was particularly frustrating, as my GLG profile and CV clearly demonstrate substantial experience and expertise in that exact market.

Communication has also been poor. Aside from contact relating directly to project opportunities, I have struggled to receive a meaningful response from anyone when raising concerns or asking for clarification.

GLG has historically had a strong reputation within the expert-network industry, which was one of the reasons I was pleased to be invited to join. However, my impression is that the increasing use of AI and automated screening has not been implemented effectively, particularly when assessing experts for highly specialised or niche projects. Expertise cannot always be accurately assessed through keywords or automated screening criteria.

There is a lot of potential in the platform, but the expert experience, screening process and level of transparency need significant improvement.

For anyone genuinely looking for specialised expertise, I would strongly recommend also carrying out a targeted Google or LinkedIn search and approaching relevant experts directly. In many niche areas, that may ultimately be a more efficient and transparent way of finding the right person..

If you are considering using GLG for expert research, I think you should understand how the expert screening process can affect the information you ultimately receive.

In my experience, experts can spend significant time answering detailed qualification questions, only to be disqualified without compensation. I have experienced this repeatedly. Over time, that creates a troubling incentive: experts may start trying to determine what answer will get them through the screening process rather than simply providing their independent perspective.

That should concern GLG's customers.

If your investment or business decision depends on genuine expert insight, you want experts telling you what they actually think, including when their experience contradicts your assumptions. You do not want a screening process that potentially selects for people who have learned how to give the answers most likely to qualify them for a paid consultation.

I cannot speak for every expert or every GLG engagement, but based on my experience, I would caution potential customers against assuming that the process necessarily produces the unbiased expert insight they believe they are purchasing.

GLG's product ultimately depends on the credibility of its experts. Treating those experts as disposable during screening risks degrading the very product its customers are paying for.

Lots of form filling … not much actual work. Very bad practice about trying to reduce agreed fees. Overall not an organisation that has spent much time thinking about the value of having values.
