As an accounting student, doing a finance internship through Virtual Internships this semester was an invaluable experience. The onboarding and setup instructions were clear and straightforward, making it easy to get started right away. The absolute best part of the program was taking the concepts I learned in my accounting classes and directly practicing them in real-world situations. It gave me a much clearer understanding of how the finance industry actually operates. The entire process was smooth, and completing this internship successfully helped me earn course credits toward my degree. I’m really glad I took part in this program and would definitely recommend it to other finance and accounting students

We (Go Earth Boating) have taken on a number of interns. Mostly they have been good, well-motivated interns. A few have been outstanding, and we would take them on as full-time employees at the appropriate time and when a suitable vacancy arose. One or two have been very poor; but they are the exception. If you do take on an intern, you do have to support them, give them a clear brief and assistance in fulfilling that brief. Provided you do that you should have a good experience with your interns. The company itself does, reasonably enough, ask for regular feedback. Sometime the standard questions they ask don't easily fit what the intern is doing - but this is a minor point. Overall - very good.

I was disappointed in the whole set up of the internship having to do a whole bunch of stuff that had nothing to do with my career path was a waste of time . The platform was too much to navigate and the different steps all together was time consuming.

The weekly report provided me with a valuable opportunity to reflect on the tasks I accomplished throughout the week. It allowed me to assess the skills I have acquired, as well as those I have improved upon during this time. I took the time to identify specific areas where I excelled and recognized the challenges I faced, which helped me to better understand my growth and development. Overall, this reflection not only highlighted my progress but also guided my focus for future improvement.
