Welcome, glad you’re here
I’m a career Army officer who’s spent the last decade and a half working across multiple formations and organizations focused on modernization, multi-domain operations, and emerging technologies. Through that journey, one passion has taken over almost everything I think about:
The electromagnetic spectrum.
The more I’ve studied it, from basic physics all the way up to real-world military operations, the more convinced I’ve become that the EM spectrum is the next great frontier of exploration.
Not just for military capability, or technology, but for leader understanding.
What I write about
This publication focuses on making the electromagnetic spectrum clear, accessible, and operational. I explore:
how signals behave and why it matters
the practical use of SDRs and accessible EM tools
the intersection of EW, cyber, and long-range effects
the fundamentals of EM energy, broken down simply
how leaders can make better decisions in complex technical environments
I’m constantly learning, taking courses, running experiments, studying physics and math, and translating those lessons into something anyone can use.
Why I’m writing
For most people, the spectrum feels invisible and abstract. But once you understand it, you start to see a hidden layer of the world, one that shapes communication, navigation, targeting, protection, and nearly every modern technology.
My goal is simple: to learn everything I can about the EM spectrum and share it.
I believe this space will define the next era of competition, innovation, and conflict, and that leaders at every level need a better way to understand it.
What to expect
Clear, practical explanations
Graphics and models that make the invisible visible
Thought pieces on the future of EM, cyber, and multi-domain operations
The honest journey of someone learning this from the ground up; the wins, the setbacks, and the discoveries
If you’re fascinated by the electromagnetic spectrum, curious about the future of warfare and technology, or simply someone who loves learning how the world actually works, you’ll feel at home here.
Thanks for reading and welcome to the exploration.
