Welcome!

At this late stage of cultural degeneracy, it is clear that certain trends are toxic to our children (the latest Netflix-original series, Drag Queen Story Hour, almost all mainstream children’s literature published in the last 50 years, sex-ed at the local elementary school—probably also the local elementary school—etc., etc.). But it is not always so easy to know what ought to replace the Political Ideology that tries to pass as “culture.”

This blog is a humble attempt to give new life to traditional Christian wisdom by shining a light on the tales and songs of old. At the same time, it exposes the ugly, harmful, and otherwise alarming trends in the surrounding anti-culture. Often these trends can be traced back to a romantic quality of imagination. I often draw attention to the dangers of romantic visions. It sems that th diabolical lurks just beneath the romantic dream.

We have to know what we’re up against, folks, if we want to overcome it. And overcome it, we shall.

It’s time to restore beauty and old truths in our homes and in our own particular, imaginative ways. This paradoxical task of restoring the old in new ways is made easier when we recognize and understand the role of imagination in appreciating beauty and also the ways in which The Lie, too, can live in the imagination.
