I am leaving this review based on the actual bill and my experience at East Eatery.

I specifically asked for tap water, yet I was charged £7.98 for two large still waters. The bill also includes an £8.04 service charge, which is approximately 10%.

The £22.99 discount shown on the receipt was not actually given to us. Despite the discount being displayed on the bill, I was charged the full £88.44. The attached receipt clearly documents this.

The chicken karahi was not acceptable, and the restaurant acknowledged the issue and voided it. However, the discount shown on the receipt was still not actually applied to the final amount.

The portion of French fries was also very small considering the £4.99 charge. Overall, I found the food and drinks far too expensive for the portion sizes and quality.

For a restaurant in Slough, the overall pricing is difficult to justify. This is not Central London, and in my view the prices do not reflect the location, portion sizes or quality delivered. £7.98 for water, £4.99 for a small portion of fries, an £8.04 service charge, and £88.44 ultimately paid represents very poor value for money.

At this price point, customers should reasonably expect good-quality food, sensible portions, transparent billing and professional service. Unfortunately, my experience fell short on all four. The amount paid simply does not match the quality, quantity or overall experience provided.

The manager promised to refund the amount and took my bank details. I expected the matter to be resolved directly by the restaurant. Instead, I am now being told to contact the owner myself. Once the manager has agreed to a refund and taken the customer’s bank details, pushing the responsibility back onto the customer is extremely poor customer service.

I would strongly recommend looking at the attached receipt rather than being influenced by the restaurant’s appearance. The receipt provides a factual record of the charges, the stated discount and the final amount paid.

One star. In my opinion, this restaurant is significantly overpriced for what it delivers, and the overall experience represents poor value for money.

I went in with a client for a good experience, the place looks nice but food is not good at all, staff are uneducated abd rude, when i complained it was a struggle as the waiter was uneducated, it was a struggle to have nice sizzling food, it was a waste of money, i paid only to pack it and take it but what was the point, i zent complaints to the restaurant they have not bothered to respond at all. Its almost like they do you a favour by offering you a tiny discount missing the whole complaint if they ever did. I shall take my complaint further as its not just about the money but rather to make things right and customer service, this is nuisance we dont go for the looks but good food. Meat was chewy over cooked outside and bit under cooked on the inside. No style or class in food. Neither the owner or the manager are bothered to reply or put things right.

Lovely deco in the restaurant - enjoyed the atmosphere. Good customer service.
Went with a friend to enjoy brunch - disappointed about the 4 tbsp of halwa we were given with 2 large halwa puri. The karak chai was bland.
Price was reasonable.

Please do not go to this restaurant. My family and I went out for an Eid dinner and on arrival we were seated at separate tables which were dirty and then we received no water or drinks after 20 minutes. After 2 hours, we still hadn't received anything. They wasted our special day and time. This is by the far the rudest and most hurtful experience at a resturant. This place is all a show, and it has nothing to offer. Terrible service and staff management all around.

Hi the restaurant itself was very nice and inviting the ambiance was lovely but I am sorry to say the prices were ridiculous let’s face it you are in the heart of Slough! The food was awful we ordered chicken and lamb seekh kebab and they were raw we ate some of it as we hungry the kebabs arrived on a tray of almost raw onions and very dry. This was our starter by this time I was put off and didn’t want to order anything else so we asked for the bill and left. Very disappointing experience I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone. We called the waitress over explained that we didn’t like the food she just replied sorry! Not good enough no point having a fancy and glittering restaurant when the food you are serving is up to scratch 😡

Had a lovely meal at East Eatery. Although the food was delayed, the staff were very polite and apologetic throughout, which was really appreciated.

The boneless chicken handi was very tasty and full of flavour. The garlic naan was amazing, and the grill platter was generous in portion size — all the meat was juicy and well seasoned.

The steak was a little disappointing as it was slightly dry, but honestly the warm service and overall experience made it easy to overlook.

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a lovely place to dine.

Service was excellent and food was tasty. Would highly recommend East Eatery. It was my sons birthday we were really happy with everything.

I want to start by saying this — the setup, ambience, and seating are absolutely fantastic. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and feels very well put together.

The food quality? Truly outstanding — a solid 5 out of 5. I was genuinely impressed. The variety and quality of the naans and chapatis were excellent, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The dessert was another highlight — it actually surprised me. Having visited many Pakistani restaurants, I can confidently say this was exceptional.

Where there’s room for improvement is the service. The staff were polite and friendly, but the attentiveness could be better. It took a while for someone to come to us initially — although the restaurant was busy, which is understandable. I’m also happy to wait for food when the quality is this good — and it clearly was.

However, a bit more proactive attention to customers would make a big difference and elevate the overall experience to another level.

Overall, a fantastic restaurant with incredible food — easily a 10/10 experience if the service improves slightly.

Charsi chicken 6/10 this was bit bland different recipe than watan, theirs is amazing. Dhaal makani 5/10 little salt. Papadi chaat and samosa chaat 8/10

Reasonably good portion sizes.
Prices i felt much higher than southall restaurants. Where we would pay £140 for more food too we paid £200 . Overall good atmosphere and friendly staff. Too pricey to go back !
They have some parking at restaurant. We did get a space thankfully. Otherwise on side roads.

I called to make a simple enquiry about a reservation and was met with a very rude and dismissive attitude. The way my enquiry was handled was unprofessional and came across as condescending, which immediately put me off the booking. I decided to cancel my reservation as a result. Customer service here needs improvement, as basic politeness was clearly lacking.
16th - 7 people reservation cancelled.

A great evening with 2 friends. Great food and attentive service. A busy place with a good atmosphere.Staff were eager to help .

The food was decent, but the service completely ruined it. Our waiter ignored us for most of the evening and got our order wrong twice. No apology, no urgency—just poor attitude.

Its fantastic place to have small parties.
Ambience are designed to perfection.
Food is fantastic and flavour full.
Would make my permanent spot as it earns me respect at front of my clients

Limited Parking is available but planty on near by sites. I think this brand has alot of potential.

Amazing restaurant- great ambience and environment. Friendly staff and tasty food. Very welcoming. Lovely set up for Eid, sehri and iftaar buffets too. Definitely recommend :)

Went in with my whole family and absolutely enjoyed very minute in the restaurant, the food is very tasty and ambiance is outstanding and the staff delivers an exceptional service. 100 % recommended !
