Review of Public Storage

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I had been doing business with a "mom &…

I had been doing business with a "mom & pop" mini storage locker in a smaller town in central CA.Been there at that facility for about seven year. Good manager, always there, easy to pay in person, by phone or on line. And regular pest control. But suddenly they got bought out by a very predatory national R.E.I.T. They raised the rent through the roof, staff is never there, cancelled pest control, ran the property into the ground. That REIT, and thus that property, were bought out by another bigger REIT called Public Storage. They have been just as bad. I can almost never find a manager or any staff there when I go there. No one ever answers when I call them, it just goes to voice mail, and no one ever returns my calls! They must have fired the pest control, as I can never find them, or even find out who they are. The units have huge gaps in the back, wide enough for rats & mice 2 march a parade through. The perimeter wall now has ivy growing all over it, which is a harbinger for harboring rats and mice! They don't want to cut it down because they think it looks pretty. Meanwhile I can't get them to plug the huge gaps and holes with something like expansion foam.
.
I had been paying on line. But suddenly in September their lousy web site wouldn't allow me to pay on line! I get onto their website, enter my storage facility, my phone # and zip code, and it tells me every time that it has no record of who I am!!! I keep calling the office my storage unit is at, I just get voice mail, and they never return my call or email. I call number after number, only to get stupid AI-like recordings, which also say that they have no record of who I am. When I can get a live person, they threaten late charges which are catastrophic and predatory!!! If I have to "bother" a live person with taking my payment, they threaten to charge me an extra $20 for their "trouble!" I spent the first ten days of Sept. calling phone# after phone# for Public Storage, even at their corp. office, and was finally told that I would have to travel to one of their storage facilities with my driver's license to prove who I was, even though I had already done that at the storage facility where my unit is! I told them that I was recently a victim of a hit and run auto accident, my car is still in the garage, and I have a badly injured shoulder, hip, shattered knee and torn meniscus and ACL tendon in my knee, and on crutches, would have to spend all day, a lot of money, plus walk about ten miles on between bus stops in great pain on crutches, in 110 degree central valley heat, ... but they assured me how they didn't give a damn, and would be happy to hit me with $60 late fees, and prepare to auction off my contents if my payment was made that day. They refuse to take the payments by phone or web. I thought I was going to die of heat stroke, walking about 10 miles between bus tops on crutches, in great pain in the sweating 110 degree heat! I reconfirmed my name, phone#, mailing address, and email address, and gave them a copy of my drivers license. The storage facility took my payment, said they fixed it while I was there, and assured me I would never, ever have to go through that crap ever again.
.
I have been trying for the last nine days to pay my bill with them on line, but once again, their stupid system claims that they have no record of who I am!!! They charge my credit card each and every month, yet claim the have no clue as to who I am. I had to fib and say I wanted to rent a storage unit in order to get a live person. It sounded like some rude person from some third world country or banana republic. She demanded my account#. I said I have my unit number, but was never given an account #.She angrily barked that they emailed me my storage facility's address, my unit#, my account#, and the new gate code! I told her I have never received any such email w/ that info! I asked her what email address they sent it to? She refused to tell me! She asked me what my email address was, I told her. She claimed that was nothing like the address they had on file & sent my info to! Great, so they sent all my vital info to some total stranger, who can now use it to do an account take-over, and steel everything in my storage locker! I asked to speak to a manager, so was transferred to some woman down in Corpas Christy TX of all places, who confirmed they had my correct email, phone#, mailing address and name. Refused to change my account# or gate code to prevent an account takeover! She insisted I hang up, go back to their web site, and it would take my payment with no more problems. I spend many more hours on phone call after phone call, before I could get some one who would take my payment verbally, & not charge me extra $20 to do so! Their payment problem still isn't fixed! And now I have to worry about an account takeover, plus theft of everything I own in my unit. So if u are thinking of renting from them, Don't!

Review of Instacart

I signed up with Instacart to deliver…

I signed up with Instacart to deliver my groceries, as I am disabled on crutches, can' drive in this condition, and too hard to carry heavy bags on crutches on city buses. After a free 30 day trial period, we could. hoose to be billed by the month or buy the year, so of course I chose by the month. They screwed up every single delivery they made. They were always many hours later than they promised. I'm ask for a receipt, but. ever once got a receipt! Some times they would bill me for everything I ordered, but only deliver a fraction of the things I ordered, and leave off the most important items! The last order, one of the items I ordered was Genova Yellow Fin Tuna in Olive oil (they said they had plenty of it), and if that wasn't available, then Genova Yellow Fin Tuna in Olive oil with Tuscan herbs, or no Tuna at all! The grocery store was offering two cans for $5.00 so I ordered two. Instead, they sent me 2bcans of Genova Yellow Fin Tuna but in Cheyanne Pepper, with a sodium count of nearly 400! And instead of charging me $5.00 as advertised, they charged me almost $10.00!!! I can't do hot spices medically, nor can I medically do high sodium. I remained the many times about this, demanding a refund, but they never responded.Just Crickets chirping! They were once again 3.5 hours late. So I wrote them back that night, and again the next day, letting them know they were fired, so don't even THINK about billing me for even one month, or any amount, plus I still demanded the refund of $10 over charge for wrong item. I wrote them 4 & 5 days before the end of theb30 day trial period. They never refunded the $10, and four days later they billed me for an entire YEAR. Having to hit them with a merchant Charge Back! Run from this fraudulent scum bags!!!

Broken promises, zero cstmr svc, + fraudulent billing!!!

I contacted them to make abundantly clear that if I placed a order, it would be a one-time order, and not a subscription. I was assured they would treat it as a one time order. So I placed a one-time 3 month supply of a certain product on Sept. 4th. They assured me they would package and ship it that very day, then e-mail me a tracking# so I could see where it was every step of the way. I also asked them to enclose an invoice or receipt in the box or package with the produce, if they wanted me to ever order from them ever again. No receipt, no future business! I never got any email with a shippers name and tracking#. No phone # for them! I had to keep emailing them to try to find out if they ever sent you order, and where in the hell my order was! I never got an answer! I finally received it three weeks later while I was out of town! Three weeks to travel just two states! Zero customer service!!! No receipt or invoice with my 3 month supply of product!!! I have only had the product for about a week into my 3-month supply. Then I get an emergency notice from my bank's Fraud unit this weekend, informing me that these scum bags tried to fraudulently put through an non-agreed to charge for yet another 3-month supply of the same product!!! The product may be okay. If I liked the lab results and how I feel, I might have reordered from them when my supply got low, dispute their shitty customer service. But now it probably be a very cold day in hell before I give them any more business, now that they have tried to conduct fraudulent billing on my bank account!!! Buyers be ware!!! Their shitty customer service and fraudulent billing makes me worry about the integrity of the contents of their product, and their money back guaranty! They are nothing but trouble as understatements go, so find a different supplier! Learn from my Mistake! If I could give them a score of -10 above I would do so!!!

Products not ship after nearly a month; dozens of e-mails unanswered!

I ordered some products almost a month ago. They charged my credit card immediately, and wrote me back that they promised to get my products packed and shipped that very day, then provide a shipment tracking#. I emailed them and let them know that I needed those products STAT!!! It's been a about a very, very long month now, and I still have not received those products I paid dearly for!!! These fraudster cowards hide behind their URL and email address, and refuse to list their physical address, FAX #, or phone#, ... and now I see why!!! I have emailed them dozens of times, but only one worthless response full of excuses and nothing else. I guess they want a bad rap with the BBB, State Attorney General, charge backs, and/or small claims summons, and the loss of a very good customer who knows thousands of people -- Hint, Hint!!!
