I honestly don't know where to start…
I honestly don't know where to start with Fraserway because, from our very first contact with them right through to returning the RV in Calgary, the customer service was first class.
We've been planning this RV trip through the Rocky Mountains since 2020. Then COVID happened and, like so many other plans, everything had to be put on hold. When we finally started reimagining the trip for 2026, Fraserway were fantastic again. We had loads of questions while planning the trip and they were always helpful and responsive online.
This was also our first time driving an RV, which added a bit of extra pressure, particularly knowing we'd be driving on the opposite side of the road to what we're used to in the UK. As it turned out, we needn't have worried, but having a company behind you that clearly knows what it's doing makes a huge difference.
From the moment we arrived at the Vancouver branch, the staff were brilliant. The young blonde lady who looked after us was fantastic. She answered all our questions, talked us through everything and even suggested that we increase the mileage we'd booked because she thought my original calculation was a little undercooked.
Boy, was she right!
That was one of those moments where you realise you're dealing with people who really know what they're talking about. They've clearly been doing this for a long time, and the staff seem to be trained exceptionally well.
The RV itself was excellent. We had a relatively new Adventurer with around 14,000 miles on the clock. It was comfortable, easy to drive and, despite being a sizeable vehicle, surprisingly straightforward to operate. The Adventurer range is clearly the workhorse of British Columbia. You see them absolutely everywhere, and after driving one for a couple of weeks, I can understand why.
We had one or two little glitches with things such as the cruise control while we were on the road, but a quick call to the Fraserway support team and we were talked through what to do. It was sorted almost instantly. Having that level of support when you're several hundred miles into the Rockies is hugely reassuring.
Even the dreaded sanitary dump turned out to be nothing to worry about. It's something you probably don't particularly look forward to when you've never done it before, but the whole process is surprisingly straightforward once you've been shown what to do.
And the service didn't stop when we left Vancouver. We dropped the RV off at the Calgary branch and the staff there were equally as good. Friendly, professional and helpful, which made the whole process of handing the vehicle back incredibly easy.
That's probably what impressed me most about Fraserway. The quality of the customer service seems to run right through the company. It's not just one brilliant member of staff at one particular branch. The same attitude was there from Vancouver to Calgary and with the support team we dealt with on the road.
This trip had been six years in the making, and Fraserway played a massive part in making sure it finally happened the way we'd hoped.
For anyone from the UK considering their first RV trip through Canada, particularly if you're nervous about driving an RV for the first time, I'd have absolutely no hesitation recommending Fraserway.
First-class vehicles, first-class support and, above all, first-class customer service. We genuinely couldn't fault them and I'd happily use Fraserway again.
