Waiting for a pkg. website said pkg out for delivery to be delivered between 12:30 and 2:45. Pkg was scanned as on truck preparing for delivery at 5;05 AM. . At 10:05 AM pkg was out for delivery. At 1:05 PM the driver put a needed security check pkg delayed, scan on my pkg. As an 18 year veteran of FEDEX I know exactly what this means. Driver lost or destroyed pkg, falsified info to hide a service failure or to dodge completion of his assigned route. he probably just felt like going home. At any rate this is legally interstate fraud. They took my money to perform a service then they did not provide this service. There was no real delay, no Weather delay ,(the one thing ups can hide behind) The driver plain and simple made up his mind that he did not want to deliver this pkg. My pkg was at the local prescott valley az station for over 12 hours. it arrived there at 2 AM the day before. It was scanned as on the truck preparing for delivery at 5AM. It was scanned as out for delivery at 10 AM. then at 1:05 PM all of sudden it needs a security scan? What happened did my lawn trimmer string suddenly start to tick? they had all that time to make sure it was secure but for some reason when it was in my area it was now a security risk. No one could tell me why? No one could tell me where my pkg was. And no one could tell me when it was going to be delivered. I can actually see the ups hub from my driveway. So there is really no excuse for why the item I paid for delivery on is not here. This is becoming common place with ups. several weeks ago I was also expecting a pkg. It also was "out for delivery" We went out for lunch and the ups truck was pulled over at the end of my street 8 houses from my house. Upon arriving home there was no pkg on my porch. hit the computer to check and there was a "BAD ADDRESS UNDELIVERABLE " scan on it. I called customer service and they confirmed the address on the label was in fact mine and was correct. Three days later when they finally got around to bringing it out there was a big red circle around my correct address along with a map taped to the pkg showing where my house was. So it was not really a matter of bad address it was wholly a matter of bad/lazy courier. This is exactly why I refuse to ship ups and why I always request vendors do not ship ups. They should change the name of the company to UNRELIABLE PARCEL SERVICE. I have contacted the actual CEO and V.P. of the company to advise them of the falsification of records by their drivers, and request that if drivers do not want the jobs they should be shown the door.
