I purchased a Lifetime Plan through StackSocial on July 16, 2018 and recently discovered my account no longer exists. No warning email, no notice, no opportunity to retrieve my data just gone.
When I attempted to contact support, I received no response. Their X (Twitter) account hasn’t posted since July 2024, which raises serious questions about whether this company is still actively supporting its customers at all.
I understand that their terms include a 90-day inactivity clause, but that clause was never clearly disclosed at the point of sale through StackSocial. Customers purchasing a “Lifetime Plan” through a third-party marketplace have a reasonable expectation of being notified before irreversible action is taken against their account.
I am not the only one. Scores of reviews across multiple platforms tell the same story lifetime accounts deleted without notice, no refunds offered, and no meaningful remedy provided.
If you are considering purchasing any plan with Zoolz, I strongly urge you to read the reviews carefully first. A “lifetime” plan should mean exactly that not silent deletion with no recourse.
I am still seeking resolution and have formally requested account restoration in writing. If that changes, I will update this review accordingly.

I've been using Zoolz for many years now for backing up my PC, it's brilliant. I need a large amount of storage for my design work and Zoolz offers this. The back up is very easy to use and runs in the background seamlessly. My PC recently required a repair which resulted in the warranty installing a new hard drive. When setting up Zoolz again the device was no longer recognised. Robin in support was great at explaining the process I needed to follow to get my storage back up and running. He was very thorough and patient. In no time my PC was backed up again. I would highly recommend a subscription.

The worst cloud service – Avoid this cloud company at all costs! Their cancellation of my lifetime subscription without any compensation was outrageous. Their arrogance and terrible service are a waste of both money and time. Beware and steer clear!

Horrible experience... I bough a lifetime license. Paid a premium. After about 2 years, the company send me an email saying they were no longer honoring the license... and "Offered" to sell me a new package. I would never trust them with my backups again... at any price. Do yourself a favor, google complaints. No need taking my word on it.

I bought a lifetime storage plan. After 2 years, I received an email saying the service was being canceled. I have not received any compensation.

Zoolz support is provided by very competent and helpful staff with clear, detailed and helpful advice and direction. The time for a response is a bit longer than it should be, IMHO. But in the two or three times over they years that I've needed their help, they've always come through.

Zoolz backup truly delivers on its promises. I accidentally deleted my business, but Zoolz restored every file! It’s worth its weight in gold, and I’ll never be without it.

The Zoolz service helped me move my personal and most precious data from my old Pc to the new one effortlessly.

I've bought a lifetime service which lasted for less than a year before they changed their mind. They're still sending me spam.

Great response to a technical issue I was having. Communication was excellent and the problem was completely resolved.

They were quick to solve the problem and very polite in dealing with people.
