Train delayed

Train delayed - no compensation like most rail companies for an hour late
the journey when it finally occurred was hot no air and uncomfortable

I am a little confused about the level…

I am a little confused about the level of complaints and very low reviews on here!
We used these guys from Málaga - Córdoba. Córdoba - Seville and Seville back to Córdoba. There were minor delays (25mins from C-S) but nothing worth complaining about. The trains were clean and well looked after. The security at all stations was absolutely fine. I had a suitcase, a bag with bottles in, a Zara bag and my cross body bag and had zero issues. We paid under €120 for all return tickets. We had comfy seats upstairs, power sockets and AC. 2 happy travellers.

Buyer beware!

We wish we had read reviews before travelling. In fairness, our outbound trip went well, it was on time & our seats were fine. The return trip was dreadful: they cancelled the train without notice. You can't use your tickets on another train, so we had to buy new, more expensive tickets. I've now been back in the UK a full week & they've still not actioned the refund of the price difference to me, despite me sending the evidence immediately. If you intend travelling to France, I'd only advise to use this company if you can afford delays & cancellations. Buyer beware!

Worst trains ever

I have return tickets from CDG airport to Lyon. Both of them have been by far the worst trains I have ever been. No air conditioning, no space for the suitcases, delayed… paying 1€ for this service is already a rip off. My only hope is that they go bankrupt sooner than later and no one needs to go through this ordeal with them

Known to cancel often. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

How this company is still running I do not know. They should be subject to countless lawsuits. They cancel trains whenever they want, they don't provide replacements and they don't refund. I am currently pursuing legal action against them. I was on holiday and had a train booked for myself, my wife and young son. We needed to get to Madrid from Malaga (22.08.2026) for our next stage of our transport and they cancelled I believe around an hour before departure all the waiting passengers to have to scramble for tickets off their competitors on a busy saturday. No reason given, no communication, no communication with the station so the station had no idea other than the cancellation. They don't answer helplines (3/4 hours of waiting between myself and my wife while on the phone), they don't respond to emails, they don't have any representatives to talk to and they don't communicate with alternatives or even just what is going on. Absolutely disgusting company and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

Only reason it is getting 1 star is…

Only reason it is getting 1 star is because it isn’t possible to leave 0 stars. Buying tickets from Disneyland Paris to the airport thinking all is well. Then the train is 25 minutes delayed, I’m thinking we can still make it if we really hurry. Then the train gets 40 minutes delayed and for all I know it could probably have been more. We ended up taking an uber to make our flight… ougio won’t even give us our money back. Shitty ass company. Don’t rely on these guys trains…

Disgraceful- appalling customer service

We travelled with Ouigo from Lille to Disneyland. Nothing is very well signposted, boards did not say where we had to board on arrival at the train station. I asked several members of staff and we received a point of a finger in a general direction, where there were 4/6 other train lines. We were not told that the train was delayed by around an hour and so waited and waited, then thought we had gone to the wrong place. Other travellers confirmed we were indeed in the right place.
On the way back from Disneyland to Lille, we arrived at the station and we were informed that there was a 46 minute delay. This was eventually a longer delay and when speaking to the staff there, asking for a proof of the delay (which was requested by Eurostar, so we could get on the last train home, as we would miss our one). The staff refused to give me proof of delay, said not my problem , sort the other end. There was a couple in front of me, with two young children, who where going to miss their flight as there train was delayed by 5 hours. They asked for proof or a refund so that they could pay the €250 euros to get a taxi to the airport, they were refused any proof or help! Absolutely disgusting customer service.
Luckily when we arrived at the Eurostar they were very helpful. I took photos of all delays on the boards in Disney and Lille, explaining the situation we found ourselves in. They allocated us seats on the last train home to London, after speaking with Ouigo themselves.
I was advised to email Ouigo, which I did and had a response from them 10 weeks later with proof of the delay via an email. Nothing by more, no apology or anything. I would not recommend using this service.

On the way to Barcelona from Paris.

The train left an hour late and there's no air conditioning. The two conductors have handed over bottles of water and they have been really patient with all our complaints this is the only redeeming feature. It's August, it's hot and there's no air conditioning for seven hours. Absolutely appalling.

OUIGO? No Way!

Do not travel with this company.

Two years ago, as a journalist, I was sexually assaulted on a Ouigo train from Cannes to Paris by a member of the cleaning staff, who spent the entire journey trying to get me to touch his penis and to go into the toilets with him. Despite reporting this, Ouigo has never responded.

More recently, coming back from Switzerland on June 2 , Ouigo cancelled my train last minute from Strasbourg to Paris. I was stranded at a nearby station, unable to afford the €200 replacement ticket being offered from Strasbourg that night that I was supposed to pay for, and had to find a cheaper alternative myself. I found a ticket from nearby Mulhouse for 75. I was at the station. I had no choice. When I asked Ouigo to refund the difference and explain the situation, I was told they weren't responsible for me booking from another station.

Now, with wildfires disrupting rail travel across southern France, I've had to spend my entire holiday and food budget rerouting including booking three new trains and three buses just to reach my destination in San Sebastián. SNCF has been helpful. Despite the French government suspending all rail travel south of Bordeaux until further notice, Ouigo is only allowing ticket changes up to 31 July, not beyond — leaving passengers with tickets for early August stuck between impossible options and exorbitant prices that will only increase. I've just had to pay an additional €35 today just to change my return ticket on my own from Hendaye to Paris to Toulouse to Paris.

I have written to Ouigo's mediator and press office repeatedly and have been sent in circles every time, with no resolution on any of the above.

Do not travel with this company. Pay the extra money and go with SNCF.

Totally useless website and booking.
Paid extra for seats which showed 2 seats together. Ended up in seats opposite 2 people no legroom.
Said case included then charged 25 euros extra at station
With no option to go to website and change as we already at station
Useless company

Our experience from Lille to Avignon…

Our experience from Lille to Avignon was ok going except the view wasn’t good, coming back was terrible, the train was three hours late, so sat in Avignon TGV for three hours in 35 degrees was an experience. The train arrived almost four hours late so when we boarded our reserved seats were cancelled and passengers just sat where they could. Luggage under tables under seats and everywhere made sitting uncomfortable. We won’t be tempted by OUIGO prices ever again. We missed our Eurostar connection and therefore our London onwards connection, luckily we got put on another Eurostar and London train back home. We did at least get compensation of half the single fare.

You have been warned

Every time I forget why I swore off Ouigo and book a trip anyway, I regret it.

On our latest attempt of a trip, our train was cancelled with no advance notice, we only found out at the station. Because I bought the ticket through the SNCF shop, Ouigo didn't consider us as their customer, which made getting information or help harder. In my experience, Ouigo has no dedicated customer service desk at the station, so you will probably rely on SNCF staff taking the job out of pity or goodwill.

So if you "travel" with ouigo, be prepared to break your promises. You will probably have to tell your fiancé that you will not make it to that concert in Paris, or your kids that they won't be playing at the beach this weekend.

PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL WITH OUIGO!

PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL WITH OUIGO!! Extremely dangerous and unsafe. This is by far the worst transport operator I have ever encountered in any format anywhere in the world in my entire life. All staff are beyond incredibly rude. Their trains do not function. If you are sick or unwell on their trains they treat you like you are a terrible human being. There is no respect for you or commons decency from the operator. The AC malfunctions constantly. Their trains cancel. Their customer service is non existent. I cannot beg everyone enough to never ever use this operator. Avoid at all costs.
