It’s great to hear that you’ve been a long-time fan of The Originals. Since April 2025, we’ve been making The Originals from organic cotton instead of conventional cotton. Organic cotton is grown under more sustainable conditions than conventional cotton. No synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilisers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are used, which helps maintain healthier soil. Organic cotton also relies more on rainwater rather than irrigation, reducing pressure on water resources.
This switch has reduced the product’s ecological footprint by 10.7%.
At the same time, we’ve chosen a new, premium-quality fabric that is 35g/m² lighter than before. This change was partly based on customer feedback, as some mentioned the previous fabric felt a bit thick for summer. Despite the material upgrade, the retail price of the shorts has remained the same. The fit, quality, and design also remain unchanged.
