This company is an absolute joke. It’s run by a bunch of Russian clowns who don’t care about the customer service aspect whatsoever. These dumbasses delivered the wrong bike to my house and they tried to explain that it wasn’t their fault which is complete BS it took him several days to find my bike and now it is being delayed over a week. Do not bother wasting your money your time with these clowns they are the absolute worst. They’re an absolute joke and the guys that run it are nothing but assholes.
My Vehicle was picked up im California on the 4th of September, delivery to Leesville SC On the 7th, on the 6th I received an email from Montway for payment of 350,which I paid, to this date, I'm over 6 grand and no vehicle. The South Carolina holding facility denied delivery on Friday the 9th told me they would deliver on the 10,late Saturday I get a message from driver that it's a 75 residential delivery fee? They denied delivery on Friday, stated they would deliver the next day, but wanted me to additional 75 for their decision. So on Monday 12th about lunch time, driver message me and stated my car should be delivered today, he was on his way to the facility. 2 hours or more later, he message me and ask what the company South Carolina vehicle holding facility was doing. I replied, I have no idea about a few minutes later they message me a long message that stated, to receive my vehicle in need to pay 237 and change. Honestly!!! What's going on here and honestly I have left alot out. This company as well as South Carolina holding has been a nightmare,My daughter has tried several times to get them to do the right thing to No Avail

Most dishonest company I've ever worked with. Charged a percentage of the agreed upon price then changed the price 2 days later and tried to blame it on me saying it was my fault I had bid the job with other companies. NEVER work with them or call them....a bunch of crooks.

Our experience with Montway Auto Transport was awful. If I could give zero stars, I would. Our vehicle was scheduled for pickup on September 19, with delivery expected around September 24. It didn’t arrive until late October 8.
We dealt with multiple failed pickup attempts, repeated carrier changes, poor communication, and an unexpected $150 charge. Montway’s customer service was virtually nonexistent. Representatives were difficult to communicate with, updates were rarely provided proactively, and we constantly had to chase them down just to find out what was happening. The excessive delay also forced us to pay for additional transportation and a rental vehicle.
After all that, the final driver refused to deliver to the destination agreed upon when we booked. Instead, we were left scrambling to figure out how to retrieve our own vehicle. We paid for door-to-door service and didn’t get it.
We chose Montway expecting professionalism, reliability, and accountability. Instead, we got delays, excuses, unresponsive customer service, extra costs, and a massive headache. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Montway.
Update: I see Montway provided a canned responses below just like they have for everyone else they’ve given bad service to. With lies about NOT charging us extra - except I have the bank statements that prove otherwise. We were charged an additional fee for rural pick up AND delivery by a company that didn’t even show up. On top of the company having told us first they would deliver to the location and then changing their mind the day before dropping the car and the ridiculous requests to pick them up and give them rides or to leave our car at a pilot station.

POOR COMMUNICATION.
Ordered a month ahead of time but that won't make them find a carrier any faster. They start looking a day or two ahead of your first available date.
They found a carrier 6 days after my first date of availability. And when they did, they called from a 224 area code (Illinois) which was blocked as a spam. Didnt bother to leave a voicemail or send a text. To be fair, they did send one email but did not follow up and got lost in all the other emails I had. I found out days later and too late. Check your email daily, turn off your spam blocker, and follow up if you miss a call from a midwest number. They don't care if they lose your business.

Hired them to ship my car from Texas to California. They were quick to respond, reasonable pricing and no price change after I accepted the quote. Vehicle delivered on time. good customer service as well.

I am still waiting the delivery of my vehicle that was picked up September 29th to arrive October 2 - 3, 2026. Original delivery date pushed back 3-4 days by email. No communication regarding the delay nor a response after leaving them several messages on a Google phone.
The company Acelerated CO., who Montway hired, does not answer their phone or call the customer back. So you will not make any live contact except with Montway. Finally, the assigned driver's telephone number is disconnected so he cannot be reached.

Driver unilaterally decided to not deliver the car as ordered to Scottsdale due to his worry about the roads. We live near a 4 lane divided flat highway. Cars are delivered by semis carrying cars ALL the time to the area. He made us drive 20 miles to the freeway to pick up the car and threatened us that he would return the car to Denver if we didn’t meet him. Montway management just shrugged me off and said drivers check GPS and can do as they wish. Beware. No cost adjustment, not anything! First and last time with them. Already know the car can be picked up when needed where they should have delivered it! Their response below is simply not true. Period. Bad service and not service oriented. You can do better. Shop elsewhere.

I had never shipped a car before, and after reading some of the reviews for Montway, I was pretty nervous. One thing I think people should understand upfront is that Montway is essentially a broker. They act as the middleman between you and the actual carrier transporting your vehicle. If something goes wrong with the carrier, Montway’s ability to help appears to be somewhat limited, although they do offer an insurance package that they say provides additional assistance with the claims process.
That being said, my overall experience ended up being pretty good, although it definitely wasn’t perfect.
We scheduled September 14th as the first available pickup date, so you can imagine my surprise when, on September 9th, I received a credit card alert showing that I had been charged approximately $1,600. About an hour later, a transport company called to tell me they were outside my house to pick up the car.
I had to call Montway to find out what was going on because my paperwork very clearly stated that September 14th was the first day the vehicle would be available. That was an unwelcome surprise and pretty frustrating to deal with. To Montway’s credit, they reversed the charge and told me they had corrected the issue.
The actual carrier who ultimately transported my car was very nice and communicated well. Unfortunately, his truck broke down in South Carolina, which caused about a two-day delay in delivery. Things happen, though, and I appreciated that he kept us informed about what was going on rather than leaving us wondering.
Overall, I had a good experience and my car arrived safely. I would use the service again, but based on both my experience and the reviews I read beforehand, it does seem like the experience can be somewhat hit-or-miss depending on the carrier you ultimately get. My biggest advice is to understand that Montway is a broker rather than the company actually transporting your vehicle, and set your expectations accordingly.

They did great! Very competitive price. The Driver was polite and fast delivery. No complaints. I would use them again.

I tried to schedule for a Montway to pick up and deliver a vehicle for me. I scheduled with him on 24 September and I received no additional communication from from them until October 5 when they charge me $249 and said that they had scheduled a delivery. In the meantime, they were sending me text messages marketing text messages like I had never scheduled anything with them they never sent me any messages confirming that we had been scheduled or that they were trying to get someone scheduled to pick up my vehicle. They never sent me any follow up messages, texts, or emails only one ““ confirmation email so I assumed that they weren’t gonna follow through and that they weren’t going to pick up the vehicle so I went and picked it up myself and they refused to refund the $249 that they charged me. They are a terrible service with horrible customer service and communication

I would not recommend Montway to anyone! I understand that auto transport dates are estimates and delays happen, but the lack of communication and coordination throughout my shipment was unacceptable.
Montway told me my Jeep would be delivered to my address in Arizona. After the driver was already supposed to have picked it up, he called and said he would not deliver there. The driver and dispatcher then canceled my pickup, and I had to wait until the next day for Montway to create a new order.. only to be told they would now deliver it to Phoenix, two hours away from me. And when the driver finally came to pick it up he called me telling me I need to drive to meet him somewhere because he can’t get to me- this is something that should be coordinated in advance and should not require me to drive 15 minutes to go meet the driver.
There were days when I received zero updates and didn’t even know where my car was or whether it was on its way. I called Montway at least eight times, and repeatedly they put me on hold while trying to contact the carrier, then came back saying they couldn’t reach them. Meanwhile, I was communicating directly with the driver and dispatcher myself, mostly in Spanish. Thankfully I speak Spanish, because otherwise I genuinely don’t know how I would have figured out what was happening.
I booked with Montway, so I expected Montway to manage the carrier, not for me to chase everyone down myself. I ultimately spent $270 on a taxi to Phoenix to retrieve my own vehicle and then had to drive two hours home at night. After providing receipts and escalating the situation, Montway refunded me only $100.
Delays happen. This wasn’t about a delay.. it was about a complete lack of communication and coordination from the company I hired to coordinate my transport. I would not use Montway again.

Excellent!!!! First time ever using an auto transport. Would absolutely use this company again. Price was reasonable and communication OK. Would give them a five but need to let customers know the size of the transport truck and will NOT be delivering or picking up at your home unless you have a giant parking lot. The transport trucks are huge and sometimes have to unload others to get to yours.

Scheduling was easy. The transport company had a beautiful enclosed trailer. The driver arrived for pickup at the scheduled time and communication for the drop off was great. Our classic car arrived in perfect condition. We would use Montway and Sky Blue Transportation again.

Wish I could give ZERO STARS. Montway quoted me $2079 to move my vehicle from NY to NEVADA. The transport company they used (Umbrella Transport) damaged my car $1100 worth of damage. Montway told me to get 2 estimates from body shop. I submitted both and they refused to pay for damage. My car left NY in perfect condition. The NY driver took pictures of my car with no damage. Don’t trust Montway - they should have paid for the damage.

I recently used Montway Transportation to ship my car from Atlanta, GA, to Chicago, IL. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, and I would like to share the following concerns:
1. Deposit amount: I was told that approximately 20%–30% would be charged to my credit card as the deposit. However, Montway charged 42.5% of the total transportation cost as the deposit. This was significantly higher than what I was told to expect.
2. Door-to-door service and mileage: I was told the vehicle to be picked up at the door in Atlanta and delivered to the door in Chicago without being driven unnecessarily. Instead, the driver instructed the people at the Atlanta pickup location to bring the car to the driver’s location. In addition, the vehicle was driven more than 30 miles in Chicago before being delivered to the final destination. This was unexpected and concerning because we do not know whether the vehicle may have accumulated any toll charges, red-light-camera violations, speeding tickets, or other charges during those miles.
3. Third-party transportation: I chose Montway expecting Montway to handle the transportation, but the actual transportation was performed by a third-party company, Continental AutoShipping Group. I believe customers should be clearly informed in advance when their vehicle will be transported by another company.
Overall, I expected a more transparent and straightforward experience based on what was communicated to me when I booked the service. I recommend that customers carefully review the payment terms, pickup and delivery arrangements, and the identity of the actual carrier before making a booking.

Extremely disappointing experience with Montway. I would not recommend this company if you care about your vehicle being handled properly.
After my vehicle was picked up, I never received a proper BOL or even a clear photo documenting the vehicle’s condition. Communication and follow-up throughout the shipment were also very poor.
The biggest issue happened when the car arrived. The vehicle would not start, and I discovered that the driver had left the key in the ignition. Because the battery was completely dead, they had to put the car in neutral and push it off the carrier. My car has an AntiGravity ATX20 battery that costs over $500, and it was left completely discharged.
What makes this even more frustrating is that Montway strongly encouraged me to pay an additional $50 for their bumper-to-bumper protection, telling me that if anything happened, they would handle the insurance/carrier process so I wouldn’t have to deal with the hassle. I paid for it, but when I actually had a problem, I received no meaningful resolution or compensation for the battery.
So after paying extra for protection, I ended up with no proper BOL, inadequate vehicle photos, poor follow-up, a completely dead $500+ battery, and no satisfactory resolution.
Based on my experience, this was one of the worst vehicle-shipping experiences I’ve had. If you want your vehicle properly documented, handled carefully, and supported when something goes wrong, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
