We paid £1,690 for two coaches to take 83 passengers to a boat party. Elite were specifically warned about the restricted access but was adamant the two coaches they recommended would be fine. Instead of what was agreed, two minibuses and an unsuitable high-capacity coach were supplied. The coach could not reach the agreed collection point and parked over 2 miles away and got stuck where it parked. We were left to organise private cars and shuttle runs ourselves, to the large coach. It eventually set off 1.5hrs later than planned and we missed the boat. Luckily it came back for us! On the way back, the coach got stuck again, having gone the wrong way!

The two minibus drivers were fantastic and the only saving grace. However, Elite was unreachable throughout the incident and, despite a detailed formal complaint and follow-up, has not even acknowledged us after two weeks. Completely unacceptable service and customer care.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These scam artist cancelled our 30 seater bus less than 24 hours before our scheduled departure. Gave money back but still disgusting from a company.

Seemed like a reliable company. We paid in full upfront for journey to and from Southampton. The coach was at the meeting place at the right time on the right day to take 20 of us to Southampton for our cruise. Not so on the return. No sign of the coach and no contact. When finally we did make contact, Elite had subcontracted to a third party for our return journey but they said they did not have a coach / driver available and to take it up with Elite. They just left us hanging, no offer of a replacement hire from a company in Southampton. Nothing. In the party there were three over-80's and two under-10s. After a couple of hours we managed to hire three vehicles to bring us all back. Eventually we got a refund for the return journey. Appalling service from a company that has "elite" in it's name and has a strap line - "The UK's Leading Private Coach And Minibus Hire Group".
