I used CitizenRemote hoping that an agency and attorney would simplify and speed up my Albania Visa and Unique Permit application process. Unfortunately, I’m disappointed with my experience.

The process started in April, when I submitted all my documents to the attorney and paid full, but the application was not submitted to immigration until July 8. The application number was RPA-79-000116601ID. It was eventually rejected in August, and I discovered the rejection myself by checking the immigration website. I was not proactively informed.

The stated reason was that I did not sufficiently justify the purpose of my visit and did not demonstrate that I would leave Albania within the visa’s validity period.

This is strange to me because I had clearly communicated that my intention was to apply for the Unique Permit and residency, meaning I intended to stay in Albania long term.

I understand that CitizenRemote cannot guarantee a visa approval. My disappointment is mainly with the lengthy process, communication, and handling of my application.

I wrote a 5-star review for Citizen Remote one year ago right after we had our initial 30-minute conversation. The lawyer was brilliant. And we moved on to Citizen Remote to secure our digital nomad visa. However, due to many technical glitches on their platform, such as emails and documents lost, our lawyer was not kept current on our status and our needs. One of the owners acknowledged technical glitches with the platform. We had to completely redo our application due to the Citizen Remote platform. We decided to stop working with them and hired a lawyer and paid more. It is unfortunate that Citizen Remote does not prioritize investing in their tech infrastructure to make their platform stable. Especially since it has confidential information of ours, such as banking information. I would seek out a different company.

There seem to be a lot of different services to choose from, and I particularly liked their portal and the ease of using it for secure communications (as well as secure transfer of documents). Also the add-on services of translation and apostille just helped when I didn’t have the time to worry about it myself. My life is pretty hectic and I am over extended, but right now, but having the team at CR guide me through was very helpful.

Immigration Attorney Marina was fantastic and she has put so much time and effort into my case. I had troubles with my prior attorney, but CR was prompt in assigning a new immigration attorney who went above and beyond from my special case. Everyone's situation is different, but all in all I invested about $5000 in the US for what I needed to get, the translations and apostilles and of course their fees.

We called Citizen Remote after having a less than great experience with another referred firm. Tim has great communication and instilled confidence in us. Keeping this a 5-star rating because of that — we had a few hiccups but Tim was reachable and fixed the issues quickly. Marina, our Spanish lawyer, has been *awesome and our digital nomad visa is nearly complete. Would definitely recommend this firm.

Citizen Remote is a company with good vision. They have immigration experts who take a close look at your documents to make sure you meet the requirements and can guide you when you need to make the right correspondence with government authorities. I had to go through the process mostly on my own from Nigeria but they reimbursed me for VFS and government fees. Portugal’s laws are ever-changing and applying from Nigeria was a new experience for them. Regardless, the issues I faced were swiftly and directly addressed with attention to details. The journey to being a digital nomad is very daunting and it’s good to know there are companies that value us and can alleviate the stress with information, research and care. I am happily residing in Portugal as a resident so glad this was a successful process.

I have been working with CitizenRemote for a year now on my DNV in Spain. My interactions with them have always been pleasant and informative. I was originally having trouble deciding between Portugal and Spain and the initial consultation provided me with the information I needed to make a decision.

Oftentimes, it can be frustrating and confusing, so it helps to have someone walk you through it with genuine intentions to see you succeed.

I've used Citizen Remote for both accommodation and visa services during my relocation to Argentina. They were incredibly helpful, and their Visa Wizard portal simplified the entire process. I'm very satisfied with their service and will definitely use them for my next move abroad.

I have dealt with Citizen Remote twice in the past year both to get a health insurance for Dubai Nomad visa. The process is straight forward and helpful. I havent actually had to make any claims yet so I can't comment on that process. But you do get the visa.
Tim went out of their way to get me the help that i needed from the insurance firm.
Sometimes the chat doesn't get back to you but the emails are definitely answered.

Despite these challenges, my repeated requests for a refund, as per the policy outlined at the beginning of this engagement, have been met with silence and inaction. This lack of responsiveness and accountability is alarming and has eroded my trust in CitizenRemote.com.

I share my story as a warning to others contemplating the use of CitizenRemote's services for obtaining a Digital Nomad Visa, especially for Greece. The potential risks and uncertainties involved, coupled with my own negative experiences, suggest that entrusting your immigration process to CitizenRemote.com could lead to more complications than solutions.

Please proceed with utmost caution and consider other avenues that might offer more reliable and transparent services.
