Outstanding Quality and Performance!

Absolutely love my Peugeot Daman Electric u’Select Duo! These electric pepper and salt mills are beautifully designed, elegant, and incredibly well made. They combine style, convenience, and outstanding performance.

The electric operation makes seasoning effortless, and the u’Select grinding adjustment allows me to choose the perfect grind according to my preferences. The quality and precision of these mills are exactly what I would expect from a prestigious brand like Peugeot.

They are a fantastic addition to my kitchen and make cooking and seasoning so much more enjoyable. Although they are a premium product, the quality, functionality, and elegant design make them well worth the investment.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for premium electric salt and pepper mills! Five stars without hesitations

Puddle in the Colander

Chef Supplies

I walked into the Chef Supplies shop in Windsor for the first time and found a nice little colander.

Unfortunately it's design allowed a puddle of water to form in the bottom due to the surface tension of the water.

So I took it back and showed several sales persons the strange looking puddle.

They gasped at the puddle as if it were a trick but later told me it has been six seeks since I purchased it, I didn't have a receipt, they could be fired for taking it back and even suggested I could have got it out of the garbage.

So I left with my puddly colander and several business cards, wrote to the manager told him what had happened and asked for the owner's name and email. He responded with a short list of questions to which I suggested he ask his sales person who had all the information he requested. Then there was over a week of silence so I walked into their head office and spoke with the owner's son who said he would take care of it. Then more silence for over a week. So I wrote to the owner's son with a copy to the owner and the manager and besides describing my experience I mentioned I would write it up on Truth Pilot so other people will know what to expect from Chef Supplies. By the time I returned from delivering the copy to the Manager I had an email from him saying they would take the colander back. I wondered if their change of mind had happened because of expressing my intention to write up my experience on Truth Pilot or because they realized it is not ok to sell colanders that came with a puddle.

I can just see Chef Gordon Ramsey responding to a plate of soggy pasta with a hurricane storm of four letter words.

If Chef Ramsey would walk around Chef Supplies what would he have to say about their product line? My first impression was delight at the assortment of see through fridges and spatulas and every device one might like to have in the kitchen however with my colander puddle and resistance to taking their poorly designed product back it really makes me wonder how much effort is made to choose the products they have on display which by the way still had two of the puddle colanders on their shelf weeks after I showed them the puddle. What is that? How many puddles would Chef Gordon Ramsey find among the colorful display of chef supplies?

My impression of Chef Supplies is that the owner is micro managing his people, nobody can apply common sense to the most obvious problems. If there was a fire in their shop kitchen would the sales people have enough sense to pull the fire alarm? Or would they say they could be fired?

Chef Supplies seems to have a desire to grow but their business culture seems to be based on a fear of their people misbehaving rather than giving enough slack in the line so common sense and professionalism can do what it is supposed to do.

I ordered this based on the picture…Stop!

I ordered this based on the picture provided. Not only was the shipping over two weeks, the picture does not match the item which —is NOT three different blades but rather one plain blade. My mistake for being too quick to draw but at the same time, I’m leaving one star for slow shipping and a misleading photo.

No service after the sale & as threatened

I just made a $900 purchase (table and drawer) but there website didn't reference or mention tools are required or not supplied but there was no instructions for screw hole placement for assemble, i was worried the screws were to long and i didnt want to drill in the wrong position. I asked for proper documentation to do it properly. I tried to phone and they kept hanging up the call, so i tried using there chat online, waited for 10 minutes and spoke to Mike. (i do have a copy of the chat session) he was extremely rude, cocky and ignorant, i was to assume since it was commercial product and ("google is a good resource") all i asked for was proper documentation so there was no mistake to be made, I asked them because i just bought it from them but was told to deal with OMCAN myself. Once i asked for a return because its not as described on there website, they will charge a 35% restocking fee, pay return shipping costs and they fight all chargebacks. The attitude was unbelievable, this was my 1st and last purchase at ChefSupply.ca. There is no service after the sale, Mike was very rude and ignorant and i have to source the documents on my own. There are many other companies to deal with that would appreciate your hard earned money, Mike doesn't seem to care. I'm just glad OMCAN stands behind there brand. Buyer Beware

Misleading price match policy; unwilling to price match

I was in the market for a pizza oven and was considering purchasing from chefsupplies.ca. When I opened their chat window, the very first suggested prompt was to ask about a price match, so I decided to reach out.

I initially asked them to price match the manufacturer's (Gozney) Canadian website and provided the direct link. The representative claimed the manufacturer charged for shipping, so I sent a screenshot proving shipping was free. The agent then oddly asked if I was Canadian—to which I clarified that I was contacting them from a Canadian website and even sent over a screenshot directly from Gozney's Canadian site showing the total charges with free shipping.

Next, I shared links to other Canadian retailers offering lower prices with free shipping. Instead of honoring the match, the agent simply replied: “Unlike many websites, we buy the product then ship it free. That may be the reason we are slightly higher.”

Why actively prompt customers to ask for a price match if you have no intention of honoring competitor pricing? Don’t make shoppers jump through hoops and do your research just to make excuses for why your prices are higher.

Inept

Have to say, this experience hasn't been great.

I cancelled delivery on a holiday Monday. The order couldn't be cancelled for some reason Tuesday and shipped nonetheless Wednesday (even though you guys advertise that it ships the same day as the order is received.)! And now I have to take the time and send back myself, follow up for receipt and wait two weeks for a refund. Not great.

Well if you are not in a hurry

Well if you are not in a hurry, and don't mind the bad customer service, and don't mind if you love to be an hostage after buying products that supposed to be in stock and it's not, and after all those above you don't mind the (we ship today or it's free) BS.

Well it's the place to go !!!!

The good thing is they have a great selection and good brands..... but don't reflect this company at all !!!

Read those 1 stars reviews below you'll understand more.... I don't want to waste my time any longer for this store.... think twice before making any decisions about buying there !!!

Good luck.

No way to contact them

I kept emailing and trying to call. No one answered, ever. They had that offer "ship today or it's free" but they shipped the eligible item I ordered many business days later. I feel that their promotion was a lie, only created to get people to buy but not for them to keep on their words.
Since no one replied to my emails and calls, it also makes me wondered what would actually happen if I had an issue with my order? It feels like there is no way to contact them.
I am not happy at all with my customer experience.

Horrendous company with false…

Horrendous company with false advertising descriptions online. Horrendous lack of accountability and constants attempts to dissuade your return with threats of long processing times, or refusal to provide prepaid shipping labels and home pick ups

Go directly to the supplier

Product was out of stock and was not told until I called multiple times. Order was still not sent out until I called again inquiring about it.
Was hung up on by the customer service agent and told they don’t control the website. Zero accountability for the issues at hand.
Received many tracking orders that did not work.
Got my product after 2 months
And its slightly bent.
Probably just stick with Amazon or go directly to the supplier as this turns out to be a horrible middleman

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Never received my 5000$ order. It is still stock at the customs after 6 weeks and ChefSupply tells me that it's my problem. You think buying from a Canadian company would avoid import problem, you're wrong. I won't ever buy something from this store again

Add said it was an insulated proofer

Add said it was an insulated proofer. What showed up was an uninsulated proofer. Should have checked model number, regardless the description was that the proofer was insulated. Pretty unhappy as an uninsulated unit may not be up to the task.

Buyer Beware!!

Buyer Beware!!! Terrible experience ordering from this company! Scammers is what they are! Their refund process is so convoluted with so many different ‘middle men’ that by the time you actually get some kind one answer from any of them the 30-day window has passed. It’s like they make is complicated on purpose so they don’t have to fulfill the refund. Just disgusting! Buyer beware!!!! Let’s band together and stop supporting this company - I don’t care that it is Canadian. Disgraceful customer service is what it is!
