Vouchers rental companies won't honor – support without answer
Booked via CarJet. The voucher stated an excess of around 6,000 PLN; at pickup the rental company demanded up to 13,000 PLN and refused to release the car (I have written proof). CarJet sold me a voucher the rental company wouldn't honor. I opened refund tickets — so far the only response has been an auto-responder, and weeks of silence after that. No human reply, no car, no money back. Avoid: cheap price, but when something goes wrong there is simply no one on the other side.

I wanted to rent a car
I wanted to rent a car, but the rental agency refused to release it to me, claiming I didn't have an International Driving Permit. Now that I’ve proven that requirement was unjustified, suddenly the agency claims I don’t have a credit card—even though an employee saw and approved it?

When we came out of the airport no CarJet person or car!
When we came out of the airport at Izmir, Turkey there were no persons from CarJet at the meeting point. After long time search for a phone no I finally got in contact with them on Whatsapp and they wrote they would be there in 15 minutes. However, suddenly they wrote they want extra euro 140.00 to come to the airport. This was unfortunately unacceptable as this was not in the contract. I have tried to get my prepayment of euro 100 returned but NO ANSWER! Worst car rental company I have ever used!! (policy no. 65865733)

Cheap rates but try and stitch you up…
Cheap rates but try and stitch you up with add on insurance.
All happy with the booking process and pleased with the good price, however, when I went to collect the car they would not accept my UK credit card, even though I had id with my name, UK address, passport etc, but I have a Spanish driving license and only a Spanish debit card. They said if I paid the extra £200 for the add on insurance they could do it.
I have my own insurance for excess cover so no way I wanted to pay for that.
Complete rip off, advertised cheap rates then try and coin it in with the add on insurance.
I went to another car hire company who had no problem whatsoever!!

I booked and prepaid a rental car…
I booked and prepaid a rental car through CarJet under booking reference CJT-219881622, with collection at Alghero Airport on 23 September 2026 from Rental4Leisure.
When I arrived at the rental desk, the supplier refused to release the prepaid car unless I paid an additional 280 EUR plus a 200 EUR deposit. This was on top of the amount I had already paid through CarJet.
I contacted CarJet immediately while I was still at the airport and requested urgent assistance. I submitted several support requests and received ticket numbers, but no practical solution was provided. No alternative vehicle was arranged, no one called me back, and no official written resolution was sent to me.
CarJet’s WhatsApp support later confirmed that the additional 280 EUR plus 200 EUR requested at the desk were not shown in the booking details. However, they also stated that they could not escalate the case, arrange a callback, add notes to the complaint record, confirm a refund or compensation, or provide another support channel.
The phone number they provided was not answered when I called.
As a result, I was left in Sardinia without the prepaid vehicle and had to completely change my travel plans. After sending a formal complaint, I only received an automated response and no further official reply.
I have now submitted a chargeback request with my bank because the prepaid service was not provided and CarJet failed to provide meaningful assistance when the issue occurred.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend CarJet. The issue is not only the rental desk problem itself, but the complete lack of real customer support when something goes wrong.
