I found many things wrong with my truck after i purchased from a dealership.

They are not a trusted company to accurately report a vehicles history..
Carfax Canada website report did not produce any information. Since April 24 the report is still 'compiling data'. I requested the refund and didn't hear from the support ever since.
Do not buy Carfax report.
I have used this site for years to get background records for vehicles I am interested in, or to show prospective buyers the history on my cars when I sell them. It is a legit site and has the option to pay extra for ICBC records (in British Columbia only) I know it’s a good site as reputable dealerships use it also. It is a little pricey, but worth it to know the history of a vehicle you are buying.
Be careful if you are in Canada though, to use Carfax.ca and not Carfax.com as it will give different information and if you are listing on Autotrader you will not be able to link the report.
Carfax.com is in USD so seems cheaper, but not for us in Canada after the exchange rate! Carfax.com was very gracious and refunded me when I explained my error of getting the report from the US site. I then bought the report from the Canadian site.
