Unacceptably slow delivery. Package shipped on 8/31, expected to arrive by 9/8. It went from OK to Denver on the 2nd. Sat there for 8 days! One update in that time, moved within the disty center... See more

Absolutely abysmal
Absolutely abysmal. Every last package of mine is late. What really upsets me is that usps has very little (if any) accountability. They aren’t just late all of the time. I had a package that was out for delivery on Saturday. It was something that would fit in my mailbox. Not only was it not delivered, but I had no regular mail whatsoever. I think my mail guy lost my mail. It’s awkward because my mail guy is very cordial and rings my doorbell when I have packages. That being said, this is the 2nd time this happened while he is wearing a headset and communicating with someone. I’m not reporting this one. But I am sharing this with people on here. I honestly do not trust usps delivery dates nor do I even expect a package to reach me. This all started in 2017 after staff cuts. A service like usps should get better with time. That is not my experience
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, lose packages and delay deliveries. Last scam they have initiated is you weigh package at home on a calibrated scale and print label. Days sometimes weeks later they try to charge extra stating you under weighed the item....either their scales are wrong or employees are trying to squeeze every penny they can to prop up their dying organization.
I wish I could give a negative 10
If I could give a negative 10, I would. We deal with various delivery services and usps is by far the worst. Even though they can see our mailbox At a turn about 100 yards from us, they will not come to our mailbox if the flag is up if they don't have mail to bring. We get and ship a lot of packages
. We provided a delivery box half way up our driveway for packages too big to fit in mailbox. They are the only service that refuses to deliver to that box. If things don't change, we are going to eliminate the use of them. For an organization that has had so many bad financial situations, they sure don't act like they want our business. If they would model themselves after the other good services, I will continue to use them. If not, I am going to do everything I can to not use them.
The post office needs to be…
The post office needs to be investigated. 40 dollars to send a letter from az to utah thats guaranteed in 3 days!!
NOT EVEN NEXT DAY. I will never use usps again.
GO TO FEDEX OR UPS.

4th thing lost this year
4th thing lost this year. Not to mention everything that does arrive is late. I’ll pay extra for ups from now on
My mail carrier scans all the packages…
My mail carrier scans all the packages at once, sometimes at night, because I'll get emails about my mail being out for delivery at 8 pm. Just today, everything was marked delivered at 1:30, but nothing. I checked again at 2, and one thing is there, and I can see her walking around with no sign of the package that was supposed to also have been delivered at 1:30. I went to report her online, but the USPS website is broken, and it just creates a loop.
You do not have insurance unless you have receipts
My mother passed so I sent my brother a pkg with some of her collectibles, ornaments the children had made over the years, her favorite Mardi Gras boa and masks.
THEY LOST IT. 2 weeks of dealing with the post office with everyone saying sorry but nothing we can do unless it scans again.
YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE ON PRIORITY MAIL ITEMS UNLESS YOU HAVE PICTURES AND RECEIPTS OF THE ITEMS. Since these were family treasures and my mom had passed, we dont have the receipts or pictures. I didnt expect them to lose them. Will never send anything important USPS again.
Also, when sending a pkg you get asked several questions...anything explosive, illegal etc.
At our local post office in Kiln, MS the clerk reaches over and presses all the buttons. Even the button giving herself a full smiley face. Very poor work ethic.
Stealing Tax Dollars
It would be a shorter list to say what they get right. Should be dismantled and rebuilt without a single job saved from previous failure.
I don't know how they're still in…
I don't know how they're still in existence. They deliver later and later. Also it's ridiculous how much garbage junk mail they send which is always delivered on time , yet any actual important delivery is ALWAYS late. Shut usps down permanently.
They truly suck
They truly suck. If I could give a zero star review I would. After calling for the 2nd time about a 2nd package in 3 days taking a detour. 2 out of 5 packages decided to take detours with USPS. After seeing them arrive at a location that normally sends it straight to my local location they never departed yet arrived at another location the next day. Therefore, delaying them. Call to fill out the complaint form and was told I would hear something back within 2-3 days. I said well last time I received my package before I heard anything and the form just said package received. Nothing else as to what went wrong. I was then informed that the computer system will check in packages that are supposed to be at one location even though it may not be and that is how it can be checked in at 2 locations and not departed from either. Or maybe someone forgot to scan ot before it departed. I said well its going to be sent right back to the original location because thats what happened to the last one and thats where it needs to go to come to my local location. I was then informed that until someone literally puts their hands on it and sorts it to the proper facility it will go to different ones before coming to me. Way to go USPS! These machines took over pepples jobs because they were faster....
Once again
Once again, I have serious complaints about the work these people do. They claim they left my package containing my thyroid medication in the mailbox back on October 3rd, yet I still haven't found it. Now the pharmacy says they can't send me more medication until they investigate what happened with this carrier. I’ve already told them I only have enough medication left for two days, yet I have to wait for the entire investigation process just to get the medicine I need—which is essential for my health, as I cannot miss my daily dose. It’s all due to USPS’s poor service; it’s no wonder they have such terrible reviews—they are absolutely awful at their jobs.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
BLOOMINGTON ILLINOIS POST OFFICE
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
Genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I walked in and began speaking with Nathan at the counter. I tried to explain to Nathan that I had already spoken with another employee over the phone and my package was waiting for me in the back. Nathan didn't even treat me like a human being. It was literally like I was talking to a robot. Nathan completely discounted anything I had to say and had zero empathy. While I was speaking to Nathan, another employee who I learned is named, "Michelle", said, "Ya we don't know who you talked too." Michelle was not part of the conversation between me and Nathan so she had no reason to chime in. It took me leaving the post office, calling the office back and speaking to someone in the back, for me to actually get my package back.
One last thing to mention. Prior to speaking to staff, I listened to Michelle be disgustingly rude to an elderly woman. It was completely disheartening, because the elderly woman was trying to figure out the keypad and Michelle was being extremely rude and talking down to her.
Please go elsewhere.
a package shipped from Cincinnatti on Sept 30 to be delivered on October 5. has been in KS Distrib. center twice. CENTER
a package that was shipped
The hub at Billings
The hub at Billings, MT, is constantly sorting mail wrong. It also is inefficient in getting packages moving. Super frustrating.
Lost or stolen packages
This company lost several of my packages. My clients asking where their product is. The only answer i got was we are doing an inquiry. How does that help me? I tried to file a claim, nope website doesn't work correctly. Takes you in circles. Going downhill fast. Received several packages open. One expensive package delivered empty. 0 stars
They lost a package that contained…
They lost a package that contained almost $400 of collectibles my husband sold on Ebay. They literally sent us part of the package that had the label on it, pretty much saying "oops". My husband went to the local post office right away and was told what to do. Which was call the main head quaters, he didnt really know how to deal with it, yep, thanks for nothing. So, he calls and was told to wait a month because they said they were looking for the missing items and to call them if we didnt hear from them. One month later, he called and then was told we waited too long to file a claim. My husband thankfully had proof of what he WAS TOLD BY THEM to do, so the man on the phone told him, ohhh, uhhh, i can send you a form in the mail, fill it out, send all your documentation/communications you have had with us, we might be able to give you $100 back!!!!! Absolutely livid, so, we're out $300 (almost $400 was the original package price) b/c we dont have those collectibles to sell again, they're just gone! Anyway, we fill out the forms, put in the documemts (we made copies) and go to the post office, pay to send it out, only for it to end up back at our house 2 weeks later. The woman at the local post office put the wrong label on it, and it came back to us, but did we get to send it back out for free!? Nope, had to pay AGAIN to send it out. Now i just got the lovely letter from them saying that our claim is denied because they have no proof to varifu the method pf mailing. Like, are you freaking kidding me!!!!! I can't even write on here how furious this has made me. NEVER again will i use USPS! Absolute ridiculous-ness! Out almost $400, then the $20 something (oh yeah, our packets of proof that werent enough, cost a little over $10 both times we sent it) They are SO not done hearing from us about this whole ordeal. I put in this review that the "incident" took place Oct. 3, that's just when I got the letter. We mailed this package out late July, this is literally how long they shuffled us around lying, pretty much anything to not give us any compensation for them losing our stuff. Several phone tranfers and calls to try to talk to someone who had any brains over there, only to still be stressed in October. This is absurdity!
250 Years Later, and They Still Can't Find Their Way
The USPS has been around for nearly 250 years, and somehow it still manages to make the simplest task, delivering mail, feel like an unsolved mystery.
Tracking information is often vague, delayed, or completely unhelpful. Packages can sit in one location for days without explanation, then suddenly reappear somewhere that makes no logical sense. When something goes wrong, getting a clear answer is nearly impossible.
Customer service ranges from indifferent to nonexistent. If you contact USPS with a problem, don't expect urgency, accountability, or even consistent information. One representative tells you one thing, another tells you something completely different, and neither seems to know what's actually happening with your package.
The most frustrating part is that there appears to be no incentive to improve. This is an organization with centuries of experience, yet it still struggles with communication, tracking accuracy, and basic customer support. Technology has advanced, logistics have evolved, and private carriers have raised the bar, but USPS often feels stuck in another era.
At this point, it's hard not to wonder: after nearly 250 years, how can an organization still have so much trouble finding its way from Point A to Point B?
I use USPS when I have no better option, not because I have confidence in the service. Unfortunately, every experience seems to reinforce that decision. One star.
what is more important for a country…
what is more important for a country economy than his price for shipping and how do you compare to China being so cheap and affordable in compare, look at france too who abandonned the US prepaid colissimo packges, how they can affect and then ruined a whole economy, it has been maybe 30 years than all these so call post had outrageous price and super lengthy delay with tyracking at not understanding nothing, bravo with ia now what the post will do next, a destroying econmoy experience i will call the post today. not to mention the alienation with customs and prices of vat finally around 50% at the end, just like travelling it became a catastrofic bummer.
USPS can't keep peoples items safe
My package has been lost or stolen while in the care of USPS. I'm an international customer and the item in question meant rather a lot to me. When I tried to pursue the package USPS website said there was nothing I could do as my first class international postage was not eligible for inquiry. This mail service is shockingly bad.
