Renault Electronic Key Card NIGHTMARE
Lose an electronic card and be prepared for the Renault Key Nightmare €205 to order a replacement and must wait 20 days for security check and then make appointment to have the new key programed and then be prepared to sit for a couple of hours on a perfectly otherwise good day waiting while they do what is actually supposed to take 10 minutes.
Renault Twizy parts move slowly - but professionaly
17/9/2021 - My original rating was 3 stars - see at the end for why I changed this.
My Twizy was unfortunately hit by another car and sent to a repair shop.
After two months I get a call from the repair shop, asking if I can kindly call Renault customer service in Italy to try to accelerate the arrival of the broken part.
Calling the 800 number the automatic answering system had me waiting for 5-10 minutes before it kept hanging up without connecting me to anyone. This happened three times before I managed to talk to a very helpful lady.
Have sent the registration documents she asked for - and will update when I get more information.
I am a bit surprised that I need to call to ensure the parts flow - the next could perhaps be that I do also the repair myself?

17/9/2021:
Anyone can make mistakes, and it seems Renault have realized this. I was surprised I had to contact customer service to speed up (2+months) delivery of spare parts to the authorized Renault workshop - but boy did they do THE RIGHT THING (tm). [It may be fair to mention that one of the two months was August - where most of Italy stop working due to vacation in most sectors]
I was contacted by the workshop the day after filing a concern with the 800 service hot-line. Renault realized that two months was a long time and asked if I was interested in a temporary car while waiting for the parts and repair. Now that is service - and I have upgraded from three to four stars. When do I actually get the temporary car or better the repair done? We'll see - but the professionalism of the company once they realized their shortcoming is amazing and has changed my view of the company positively.
