Hi Friends. I think in many ways, Astrology is a language that allows us to tap into our creativity, authenticity and always come back into alignment. For me pursuing astrological knowledge to predict the future destroys its more significant value, that is the exploration of the self through observation of divine markers in real time and seeing through the underlying meaning behind the circumstances that either seem oppressive or offer opportunities. Without the connection to a higher power, astrology can turn into a fear mongering and controlling mechanism. I do my best to stay clear of that approach in my practice.
About me
My name is Mariana and this is my Substack. I am a full time astrologer and writer living in New York. I started studying astrology over 14 year ago now. My practice has evolved a great deal since then. I am a monotheist, and it is the central guiding principle in my work. God is a primary force, everything else is secondary. I have arrived here through astrological observation and looking at thousands of charts. And though my astrology teacher told me this years ago, it only became living reality for me not so long ago.
I have experimented with various Astrological techniques and schools, which I found all fascinating and deserving of attention, I myself landed on the mix of Traditional Astrology, that primarily uses 7 main planets, whole sign house system and techniques that arrived to us from the Hellenistic period (any The Astrology Podcast by Chris Brennan fans out there) and use of the modern influences, as 3 outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto).
I started this page to have a space where I can write longer style articles on the astrological transits, aspects and placements that I find most interesting and would like to share my in depth explorations.
