I believe that poetry is transformative. A poem can take you someplace else, or ground you in a moment. Poetry can be a refuge and a balm for grief.
Poetry also brings light to the imperfect and the broken, the everyday moments—and small wonders in nature—we often overlook.
I started a small spectacle as a reminder to slow down, pay attention and practice gratitude, while sharing the language (and extraordinary beauty) of our experience.
