It’s time for A New Look

Welcome! My name is Sarah. I’m a fashion historian, writer, and editorial project manager holding an MA in Fashion and Textile History from FIT. I’ve worked in museums for the majority of my career, and have been a lover of clothing and artistic expression since childhood.

A New Look pays homage with its name to Christian Dior's seminal 1947 collection which broke new ground in the fashion world by romanticizing and reimagining the past.

As a historian, it’s my inclination to use the past to evaluate the present and look forward with hope towards the future. As a Christian, I’m endlessly fascinated by the concepts of time, the eternal, and the way our embodiment fits into those realities.

Through A New Look I explore the intersections of theology, fashion, art, literature, motherhood, and more. This space exists to celebrate remarkable stories in our material world, while seeking beauty in ordinary, yet transcendent, moments.

A New Look is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
