You’ll also get

  • Access to the Méli-Mélo community, including the right to comment and learn from each other.

  • Behind the scenes peeks at what I’m up to as a traditionally published novelist.

Sounds great, but what’s your deal, actually?

I’m a Canadian archivist and author.

  • HONEYBEE EMERALDS is a fun, light-hearted story of four women in Paris who discover a stunning diamond and emeralds necklace and set about tracking down its former owners — including a courtesan, a spy and a dancer. It was a finalist in the Indy Book Awards “Best First Novel” prize.

Me at Toronto’s Motive Crime Festival in 2022. That was my favourite water bottle and I lost it on that trip. So glad its commemorated here.
  • I’ve authored the Dominion Archives Mystery Series — a mystery trilogy set in and around Canada’s fictional national archives. THE FOULEST THINGS was called “A literary joy ride” by none other than Louise Penny and was a finalist in the Canadian Crime Writers’ Association’s “Best Novel Set in Canada” prize.

I’m also the proud owner of ten-year old cockapoo, Daffodil.

Here she is amongst the daffodils — check out her big smile!

What’s up with the weird name for this newsletter?

The newsletter is called Méli-Mélo in honour of the Québec name for Bits ‘n Bites that salty, crunchy snack mix you eat at parties.
