Who am I anyway?

I’ve been in working in the field of mental health for more years than I care to share, but my real passion is writing. I’ve been doing it since I was five years old, but in recent years some of my stuff has been published in respectable literary mags (hooray!) so now I feel less queasy about calling myself a writer.

Beyond that, I’m British. Not English. (How do so many people think they’re the same thing?) So I will be using British English (always), British colloquialisms (often), British cultural references (when I feel like it) and British humour (with a ‘u’). For those of you who are not British, think of my newsletters as a cross-cultural experience.

If that whets your appetite, have a look at my newsletters where I expound on a multitude of subjects that I am barely qualified to comment on - or perhaps ‘on which I am barely qualified to comment’. Some will be serious, some will be light, some will be downright silly.

Look forward to meeting you. Not literally. Though maybe, who knows. Life is strange.

Why subscribe?

Because you are a discerning person. Because you like a short read. Because you’re a writer, a reader, a human being. Most of all, because every new edition of the newsletter will drop into your inbox without having to search for it. Excellent if you’re lazy.

Do I have to pay for it?

Right now, everything is free. If that changes, I’ll let you know, and also what you’ll get for your money.
