Its 6-mile loop traverses working farmland, crosses several small streams and offers an unbeatable view of the Shawangunk Ridge in all its rock-bound glory. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openspaceinstitute.org\/\">Open Space Institute<\/a> created this gem that already has become a go-to destination for the fleet of foot <em>and<\/em> slow of toe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-more-to-explore\">More to explore<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The trail links the flat, 22-mile <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wallkillvalleylt.org\/index.php\/rail-trail\">Wallkill Valley Rail Trail<\/a> with 90 miles of trails atop the ridge in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mohonkpreserve.org\/\">Mohonk Preserve<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/parks.ny.gov\/parks\/127\/details.aspx\">Minnewaska State Park Preserve<\/a>.
