A short hike to the top of Little Stony Point affords a great wrap-around vista of the Hudson River, with the Highlands to your north and West Point to the south. You also can take a 1-mile loop trail to the river\u2019s edge and laze on a sandy beach, as well as explore remnants of the area\u2019s mining history, including an old mine shaft burrowed into the point\u2019s rocky face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-more-to-explore\">More to explore<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Shops and restaurants in Cold Spring are within walking distance of Little Stony Point, as is the village\u2019s Metro-North station.
