Swish was launched in 2012 by six large Swedish banks, in cooperation with Bankgirot and the Central Bank of Sweden. Swish boasts over 8 million users and is a member of the European Mobile Payment Systems Association. With the convenience of using the Swish mobile app consumers can easily pay online through this guaranteed payment method.

Swish is exclusively available in Sweden. It was developed by major Swedish banks to facilitate instant mobile payments within the country. To use Swish, both the sender and recipient must have Swedish bank accounts and Mobile BankID.
