The OPERA MOOC "Fundamentals of Ocean Forecasting" is now live! We're thrilled to open this free online course to learners around the world on FutureLearn: https://lnkd.in/eUfwfxUc The response to our first OPERA MOOC has exceeded every expectation :  - 1,162 participants from 111 countries  - 66% from Africa  - 33% women enrolled  - 40% french speakers joined the adventure  - 500 selected for a dedicated cohort, with weekly live Q&A sessions and guided learning throughout the course.    Cohort-based participants - check your inbox! When we launched this initiative, we hoped to spark interest. Instead, we saw a truly global demand for accessible, high-quality training in operational oceanography. Our latest study with one of our content partners (a Times Higher Education Top-200 ranked University), has revealed a powerful trend: a significant number of their enrolled students actually took one or more of their FutureLearn course(s) before applying directly to this university for further study.
