Kevin, I read in a techcrunch article about this that they said if you didn't turn off or lose battery power that you should be able to grab everything off the phone that's on the phone (doesn't do much for whatever's was stranded on the cloud, but probably would at least save your contacts). The article didn't go into detail about how to go about doing this, but I hope the info helps.
