Create products that hide videos, documents, images, audio, or text behind a paywall \u2014 customers purchase to unlock.<\/p>\n<p>The extension adds two product types: <strong>Paywall<\/strong> (single content item) and <strong>Paywall Pass<\/strong> (access to all Paywall products). Both come with configurable access expiration, so you can sell time-limited or lifetime access.<\/p>\n<h3>Supported content types<\/h3>\n<p>Paste a URL into the <em>Hidden media<\/em> field \u2014 Paywall handles the rest:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Video:<\/strong> YouTube (including Shorts and Playlists), Vimeo, TikTok, TED, Cloudflare Stream, and direct files (mp4, webm, mov).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Audio:<\/strong> mp3, wav, ogg, and other formats supported by the browser.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Documents:<\/strong> PDF files, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, and files stored on Google Drive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Publications:<\/strong> Issuu embeds.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Images:<\/strong> Any image URL, including Google Drive hosted images.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Text:<\/strong> Use the product description with the &#8220;Hide description&#8221; option \u2014 content stays hidden until purchased.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also set a <strong>Visible media URL<\/strong> to show a preview before purchase \u2014 for example, a video trailer, a watermarked image, or the first page of a PDF.<\/p>\n<h2>How it works<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>VIDEO: an unlisted YouTube clip becomes visible after purchase. Before purchase, the customer sees only a picture or a trailer.<\/li>\n<li>PDF: a document is hidden until the product is paid for. After purchase, the full PDF is displayed on the product page.<\/li>\n<li>TEXT: content stored in the full description is hidden until purchased.
