Before leaving your body, you may go through a strange experience.

About to fall asleep, you will feel fear of falling down when going up.

Besides that comes the fear of being paralyzed, locked awake in your sleeping body.

We feel complete and safe, yet we are the most fragmented in this state.

It feels wrong to leave the ground, almost unearthly

We can see our body, flying yet fearing the fall. If the fall happens, it was our mind.

Melancholia, leaving what we knew to be true.

You overcame your fear and you are departing. Your body is safe.

You accessed the other realm successfully.

These three forms are also the three mountains, manifested through us.

Colors are reversed, symbolizing the mental state of OBE rather than the physical change.

We project with red, symbolizing the reality of ourselves entering a realm we might not be prepared for fully. The realm is unlocked but we will return to our body at the end of the night.

Pink = there is no need to fear anything about OBE, in fact it is beautiful.

Three Forms

The path may seem quite clear but there is an invisible bridge between a dream and AP. In front of us is a cliff of darkness, in the form of our lack of memory and the inability of pure presence. We know the bridge is there but we cannot see it, staying invisible, merging with the sky in color.

The way is not a path, rather it is a layered structure. This painting is not about OBE but about the crossing from a dream to AP. It represents a struggle to see clearly what lies in front of us when in the trap of the mental body (dream).

I know the sun is ahead, I can see the ship that can take me from this dream, yet there is a veil making the space inaccessible.

I can almost see a new form of being, but I cannot interact with it.

Yet.

The bridge is within us, we built the veil.

Almost to the point where our desire for peace makes it hard to decipher what is in front of the veil and what is behind it.

The longer we look, the more convincing it becomes that there is nothing hiding behind. This becomes a complete image for us. There is no veil.

One should act before she devotes herself to an illusion.

What lies in the physical warmth of the kingdom (M) is the plane of the Earth. Rather than the actual planet, the space represents our earthly existence. We reside in a terrain that we mutated, almost like a city where different parts reach for the sky through us, while others stay near the ground. Our residing physical realm is above the lower shell (Q), we are inevitably attached to its darkness. The colors of our earthly presence are dark, but not covered in complete shadow. The reddish brown is our flesh and the ground that we walk on, attached to this place for now.

What is being shown above must be kept in abstraction. There are different ways for us to traverse into higher realms when we abandon the earthly kingdom, those ways are depicted.

They are all in the space above us yet still separate from Heaven (K), or the divine everythingness. It is your choice which path to take once you leave, if you do.

The highest plane (K), represented as the white sun, holds its position on the top of the painting.

Yet the most important part of this work is what lies on the outside of those realms, a connecting line. This line is fragmented, symbolizing temporality itself. It goes not just above “K” but also below “Q”. Functioning as the most primitive attempt to break our view of the linear understanding of Heaven and Earth. This line is the infinite arm of God, always holding us within, no matter the realm we reside in.

Heaven and Earth

Exhibited as part of my Diploma show “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” (2025)

Each snake is coming into the frame from the outside, their heads are visible as the markers of the end yet the beginning itself remains unseen.

Their separation is an illusion of our incapability to see them whole, they will not reveal themselves as one, which is what they truly are. Both blue snake-heads are from the same body, yet they themselves are unaware of this reality. They also believe they are separate.

When entering the scene a lotus grows beside them, the lotus holds three eggs.

Two small ones and one large one. The snake-heads surround those eggs.

They are protecting the core of our being, three stages of ourselves where only one of them remains to be our permanence. The snakes don’t have eyes, therefore they cannot see which egg is more important, they protect them all equally. These eggs are snake eggs, except one.

The scene is enlightened by the sun with two moons, one in front and the other behind the sun.

After this scene was painted one of the snake-heads ate the sun, the second ate the moon. One of them ate the small egg, the second one ate the other small egg.

They thought that would be the best way to protect them. Locking them inside of themselves. Due to their blindness they didn’t see the third large egg being left behind on the lotus flower.

Now one moon remains. One large egg surrounded by one moon remains.

Ketheric Memory and the Abyss of Desires

There is so much beauty in this Universe.

There are so many images in this Universe.

My phone has over 60,000 images. My previous phone had around 30,000 and then it couldn’t hold any more so I got a new one.

This is the value of my greed. I do not desire images, but when I see beauty I want to capture it. Keep it so I won’t lose it. I want to keep it for a moment that doesn’t exist.

I will never go back to these images, they hold no value.

Their real value was the moment they were screenshotted, after that they died for me.

The more images I screenshot the more I want to delete them all. Blur them all.

Greed is a sin. Desire is a sin. I do not believe hell is a place but a state of being. The more you desire the less you have.

Recently, I watched Made in Abyss, an anime that I find quite gnostic in some of its principles. Two children are descending a mythical hole called the Abyss. The deeper you go, the more humanity you lose, the deeper you go the harder it becomes to get back. Until you reach a point where there is no going back, the point of no return.

The two children reach the point of no return and discover a village. In this village all beings already lost their humanity, they morphed through an inverted rebirth into creatures that can survive the Abyss. The currency of this village is value. Everything has different value, you have value, your body parts have value. But if you try to take or damage something of higher value than yourself an event of balancing will take place.

The spirits that protect the village keep its balance. In the event of balancing the value you took or damaged will be taken away from you and given back to the victim.

The villagers constantly pay for their sins and desire for value. The highest value for the villagers, the embodiment of value, is Faputa. She is a princess, the daughter of the village and the one who in the end destroys the village to perform its final balancing.

Similar to the quite brutal idea of value in Made in Abyss, the act of desiring, stealing and later paying for those sins is where hell resides. The whole structure of the Abyss seems to be based on Dante’s Inferno.

I used to think images online held value, but they don’t. The more there is of something the less valuable it becomes. And yet we make more digital images every day.

There is beauty on the internet and there is ugliness. Everything is cyclical. But the faster the cycles become and the higher quantity of images they produce, the less of a reaction they evoke.

I used to make digital images myself and I still do sometimes. But I no longer see the same value in it.

I used to transfer internet imagery on canvas. I used to paint anime girls with computers.

I used to paint angels as internet girls holding phones.

I used to paint with plastic paint on plastic looking canvases.

The biggest judge for my choices was the search for beauty. I never watched anime until I stopped painting it. I only liked it for its beauty.

If you let life happen to you unconsciously, you cannot act on your will. If you do not live your will, you cannot perform magick. Magick itself is an act of will. I believe my entire interaction with digital art was simply circumstantial. I chose to produce digital works and internet inspired paintings because it was easier, it was there first for me to consider.

I do not believe the internet is sacred, I believe it can help us to get closer to something sacred. Similarly to the idea of the Abyss, you enter knowing its dangers but if you overcome it and stay a human during the journey you will have an intrinsic value and resilience. Maybe the internet is something to overcome. The internet is the Abyss.

When I used to paint girls with kigurumi masks and anime angels I was told a lot that there is something liminal, almost creepy about those paintings. The shades of pink fading to gray and empty eyes. That is the thing about those masks and anime eyes. They are empty.

But I was the one who emptied them completely. I didn’t paint characters of any existing stories, I just painted a face without a soul. Some of them were taken from AI merged images of random anime girls and my face, which gave them a kigurumi look. Something between a human and a cartoon. I believe unconsciously I painted what the internet felt to me.

Yet what I created were non-human beings. It reminds me of the alchemical idea of homunculus, an artificial human-like being. The idea of homunculus was explored in Christian, Masonic and Islamic alchemy but my favourite representation is in Fullmetal Alchemist. It’s simple.

If an alchemist tries to perform a forbidden transmutation of bringing a person back to life, they will create a homunculus. They are incomplete humans, made in a grotesque way through a failed spell. Everything in alchemy is about energy exchange, the exchange of value. You can provide the exact value of a human except the value of a soul, so then what you create is a soulless human.

I believe that was my alchemy. Creating faces without a soul, putting them in front of a screen, forever trapped in a painting only. They don’t exist anywhere else, there is no story to them. They were simply the spells of my forbidden transmutation.

Painting is alchemy

Painting is an act of alchemy.

Painting is therefore an exchange of energy.

I believe now that value begins with the canvas and the paint, then later grows with the painting itself. It is all an exchange of energy.

I used to use acrylic paint and got help with making my canvases, because it saved my energy. But then I hoped the painting would give me more value and energy than I put in it. Clearly it never did. That is why my paintings constantly evolved, I tried to artificially create energy with the image itself. That is impossible when the image becomes attached to the canvas. They are one.

I couldn’t paint non plastic paintings with plastic paint. There is no way to compose a painting with just the image.

When I switched to oil I finally understood that I was forming the image by the force of the medium.

Painting to me is about energy, force and value. Everything has its own value. I believe oil has higher energy compared to acrylics, because of the exchange of value when manufacturing the paint. For the same reason, I only use linseed oil. This realization makes everything more simpler, because there is no need for choice when it comes to value and energy. You always pick the one that is higher. Same goes for the canvas and brushes.

But all of this is simply the preparation for the image itself. It is the base.

This was a process of struggle. I cannot do anything that I don’t find enjoyable or purposeful. I can do hard things if they are purposeful. I find it enjoyable to overcome struggle in the things I find purposeful. There was no longer purpose in creating plastic paintings (meaning both figuratively and literally), yet it was a struggle to switch. But that was the only option to evolve. I do not consider my statements as final, since I suppose I will evolve further. But I do believe that struggle is in some ways necessary, simply because comfort is almost like a prison.

The image of God

With the transformation of the medium and the loss of value within digital images, there was a desert of opportunities.

If there is no value in the excess of images, why would that be any different for painting images?

Painting can be the expression of God through us. It is one of the pure forms of creation, since it has no use for the worldly. It has no use for the lizard part of us.

It is so alien compared to, for example, the desire for reproduction, sexual desire and animalistic hunger. Painting is not useful for anything except itself.

That is why it is the perfect medium for God.

I believe that it is only possible when desires are not transferred to the canvas. Because then the painting just becomes a pawn again. A pawn for the virus-like part of humanity.

I believe that God is everything, within everything, meaning that we can all access God. This is not the path of some “chosen one”. We all are part of the same matter.

We all have intuition, angels speaking to us.

But to get to a state of channeling, we have to let go of the earthly at least for a moment.

The beginning of the painted image was always a ritual, an image of God. That is the tradition. I believe art is always spiritual, even if it’s unintentional.

The act of painting is a ritual, the same way a prayer is.

I do not think that this point of view is limiting, simply because God is in everything.

But there are levels to being. On the tree of life, we find ourselves in Malkuth, where we have to submit to the laws of existence. The higher we go, the less laws we have and the closer to God we get. I believe a painting made with pure intention and intuition can act like a portal between the nodes of the tree of life. Through art that is useless for survival we can see that there is something beyond survival.

Moment in time

While there isn’t a concrete artist that inspired Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, when I began reducing my paintings into something more abstract and simple, I was researching which artists were connected to Theosophy.

I believe it’s because it would be difficult to reference gnostic art since one might say that all Christian art is gnostic for example. Or there might be the question of what gnostic art belongs under which gnostic belief. Or where the line stands between gnostic symbolism and gnostic art. I say all of this because I believe in Gnosticism.

I also believe Theosophy and Gnosticism are interconnected, because Theosophy comes from Gnosticism.

Both Theosophy and Gnosticism do not identify themselves under the term of a religion, but the search for ultimate truth and knowledge (gnosis).

Theosophy was coined by Madame Blavatsky and the movement inspired a lot of artists. A lot of those artists are viewed today as some of the great abstract artists.

Some of those artists are Hilma af Klint, Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky, František Kupka and more.

It is something that intensified the belief in myself that abstract art always had a spiritual basis of sorts. The question is whether it is even abstract or simply portraying forms that do exist in matter on a different plane of being.

This idea is explored by another known Theosophist/Anthroposophist Rudolf Steiner. He explored the idea of human aura and colors that shape it, he believed that color corresponds with the character of the thought and spiritual state of oneself.

A lot of artists inspired by Theosophy have a distinct connection to certain color formations.

I believe the research into Theosophy motivated me to explore abstraction. Before that I thought it would take me a couple of years before I would try.

Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

The name is taken from a song by Killah Priest called B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth).

The chorus lyrics:

Life is a test, many quest the universe

And through my research, I felt the joy and the hurt

The first shall be last and the last shall be first

The basic instructions before leaving Earth

There are two reasons why this is the name I chose. The first is the word BIBLE. The second is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. I believe it illustrates perfectly where I always find myself when placing my art within a spiritual context.

My paintings explore different gnostic concepts, states and experiences. These are not taken from a concrete gnostic text, but rather my own experience. Some examples are astral projection, the three mountains, fighting the red bull, the image of mandorla and more. What makes it difficult to place is the perception of Gnosticism itself.

Gnosticism comes from Christianity, but Christianity doesn’t accept Gnosticism. The Bible is still, from a gnostic point of view, a gnostic text. That also depends, though, on which gnostic you ask, since there are different sects throughout the history of Gnosticism.

In the end the easiest way to define a gnostic is someone searching for the truth, the ultimate knowledge. That could be through different religions and texts yet the Bible is the one that remains the closest especially when the formation of this belief belongs to Western esotericism.

My personal perspective is that there are stories in the Bible that are archetypally great carriers of thought. Such as The Book of Genesis from the Old Testament or the story of Christ from the New Testament. Those stories repeat throughout different beliefs, yet the ones in the Bible seem to be the easiest to grasp.

On the other side is “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth”.

This name could be associated with something more alien, beyond just death and afterlife.

When observing my paintings without context, different viewers had a similar reaction. That was that my paintings look like some sort of alien diagrams. Alien maps, plans or language. I do like that opinion.

I do believe aliens belong to everything written in this text.

Shapes and Forms

Before I ever tried abstraction, my paintings were overloaded.

So much, so little space. I loved Christian iconography, so I would usually place the object into the centre of the image. I believe it was almost subconscious. I would think of painting from a digital perspective (based on my background in graphic design). I didn’t really see the point of layers, layered colors, mixed colors, I would use the brightest acrylic paint I would find.

What did not help, was the reality of Transmediale being a department where nobody really paints. I would not get any critique. Everyone judged the image on the painting, but not the form.

I needed two painter friends to tell me about the form for me to engage with it.

There is something more to painting than just the image, the motive. It is the painting, the form and the medium.

Somehow oil naturally led me to some form of minimalism. At least compared to my painting history it was minimalism. Somehow that also changed my lifestyle in general.

Intuitively, I would not limit myself, but I reduced my ideas into forms that were somehow able to carry more. The colors became muted and more natural, through layering and mixing, I wanted to create peace.

Now I sometimes even leave an empty unpainted place on the canvas.

I no longer look at images online.

I hope to become better and better.

I believe there is no end to the possibility of painting.

LIL BIG MAN is a personal exploration of the gnostic journey, depicting the birth, death, and resurrection of a man who fell like an angel only to ascend. We listen to the story of a fool, the primordial 0 (zero) that holds infinity within its absence and invisibility. Through memetic absurdism, we experience the holy oneness balancing the feminine and the masculine as the building matter of the universe.

Names of songs taken from TikTok trends (such as Can God Defeat A Million Zombies?, Oddly Medieval Trends, Skinwalker Caught On Camera, and The China Virus Remix - Live in Malkuth 2044) directly react to brainrot content as a symbol of the present while stimulating the pleasure of the lower astral and the inevitable fall that a male has to go through to give up his ego and become a man. The sound itself invokes nostalgia for radio channel-hopping, replaced by scrolling into a tape-like TikTok noise evoking warmth within the non-linearity of our present.

On this journey, we’re guided by the divine mother Kundalini, as she is the absolute force without violence—a power that men often reject and, therefore, remain defeated.

The LIL BIG MAN cover portrays Chudjak turned Chad with a computer angel girl next to him. This image encapsulates the entire album visually.

A Chudjak turned Chad is not only the memetic dream of winter arc and looksmaxxing; it’s the spiritual journey of a male that archetypally repeats throughout history. The hero’s journey on the internet mirrors the inner journey of actualization in real life infinitely.

Chudjak originally started as a meme representing the average 4chan incel, but the average 4chan incel is an archetype in itself, entailing peculiar male anger, the experience of being lame and a loser compared to other males, low social skills, and the gradual obsession with women turning into hatred.

Looking at Chudjak spiritually, his existence symbolizes the unconscious self—the ego of the masculine trapped in the lower astral plane.

The pleasure of sadness is an energetic trajectory that pushes one into immense darkness, binding him to everything against his true light-body self. This journey is a self-sacrifice—physically, mentally, and virtually—a sacrifice of one’s ego, rejecting the primordial path of being.

LIL BIG MAN isn’t about Chudjak specifically but more about the different parts of Chud that every male holds within before they ascend into a man who has mastered his faith.

This is where Chad comes in as the nickname for any attractive, popular man who is sexually successful with women. The term also relates to normies, but in a positive way (many would disagree). Chad is a neurotypical man without any mental wall separating him from success. The term symbolizes a carefree self. Observing Chad spiritually, sexual success would be interpreted as the practice of sexual transmutation, which Chudjak doesn’t engage in as he still rests in the lower astral, seeking sex as pleasure.

This is the evolution of a man, with the final step in memetics being at Sigma. Compared to Chad, the Sigma is no longer a carefree fool but a practicing magician, embracing the law and embarking on his journey through the Tree of Life.

The memetic definition of the Sigma is “a classification for men who are successful and popular, but also silent and rebellious—a type of man who likes to play by his own rules.” This man embraces his own inner knowledge, like the Gnostic embracing his intuition as the divine knowledge already within himself.

The duality of masculinity and femininity always culminates in perfect oneness. An actualized man does not reject femininity but embraces it. Like the moon and the sun, passive and active energies coexist within God. Prakriti, the primordial source of energy—the womb of creation manifested as eternal light—is the force behind all life. The journey to the Christ spirit is the journey of the light body, where one being transcends into everything that ever was.

LIL BIG MAN is an ode to the journey a fallen angel has to take to ascend higher than before. One has to fight the bull and climb the three mountains to reach God. The album yearns for higher planes of existence through the disintegrated language of the internet, which mirrors the present moment while simultaneously embodying the archetypes present in our contemporary experience.

All is in matter, and by the birth of matter is energy, which pre-exists the absolute... Everything imaginable is real because imagination itself is happening as reality.

Between heaven and earth dwells a non-space; the separation illusion of heaven and earth is a symbolic collapse into the linguistic mystery of the unspoken, the space that is and isn’t. The missing point between light and darkness, good and evil, the point between you and the internet, your mind and the algorithm.

The center is the way; angels are on their way.

Absolute presence of the absolute value of angels in the network passing itself as scrolling accelerates and ascends... I am only scrolling up.

Angels are beings that access the virtual form in ways only angels can, moving in a space of fragility where angels can’t get hurt and never fall as they’re being carried by every love post—everything is too beautiful for the internet.

Nothing is too beautiful for angels on the internet.
