  • Last night, Chip were named Best Cash ISA Provider at the British bank awards, run by Smart Money People 🏆 And even more special? It marks the fifth year in a row that Chip has taken home a prize. Awards are great, but what makes this matter so much is that it’s voted for by the people who use Chip every day. The members trusting us with their savings and long-term goals. The people we’re building Chip with, the people we’re building Chip for. Cash ISAs remain one of the most important tools for tax-free saving, and from day one we’ve wanted managing yours to feel simple, clear and easy to stay on top of. A huge thank you to everyone who voted, and to the entire team at Chip for all the work that goes into making moments like this possible 🚀

  • Today, Sifted named Chip 26th in the Sifted 100: UK & Ireland leaderboard for 2026 🚀 A ranking of the fastest-growing startups across the region, based on revenue growth over the last three years. Following our recent inclusion in The Times and Sunday Times Tech100 list of the UK’s fastest-growing private tech companies, it’s another brilliant milestone for Team Chip. We’re really proud to be part of it, especially in a year where fintech continues to be one of the most competitive categories to build in. • To celebrate International Women’s Day and kick off International Women’s Month, we sat down with our Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Emma Mohan. In this short interview, Emma shares a bit about her career journey and the advice she’d give to the next generation of women coming up in finance. Stay tuned throughout the month as we continue shining a spotlight on the women helping shape Chip. What advice would you give your younger self starting out in your career?

  • Spring has (almost) sprung in London and the wins from Chip HQ are back and blooming better than ever. Here’s your Friday dose. 💜 International Women’s Day at Chip: This week we celebrated International Women’s Day a little early, with the team coming together in purple, green and white across the office. But this wasn’t just a one-day moment. This year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, is about building a more inclusive workplace for the long run. At Chip, we’re focused on creating a culture where everyone feels confident speaking up, building clearer and more supportive maternity and paternity processes, and increasing the visibility of senior women across the business. Because better representation and more diverse voices don’t just make the workplace stronger, they make the business stronger too. 👋 New starters:  A warm welcome to Ishita Joshi, who joins the team as a Data Analyst. Great to have you on board, Ishita – we’re excited to see the impact you’ll make. 🎉 Chipversaries: We’re also celebrating some brilliant Chipversaries across the team. Huge congratulations to Millie Welch and Mildred Ehiabor, who both marked 2 years at Chip, Terry Roberts, who celebrated 3 years, and Ryan Smith, who reaches an incredible 4 years. Thank you all for everything you’ve contributed to Chip so far, we’re lucky to have you on the journey with us.

  • In case you missed it 👀 We were featured in Sifted this week, with our co-founder Alex Latham sharing how Chip has raised £70m+ without traditional VC backing and why building with our community has always been so important. As Alex put it: “What really makes products win is having that crystal clear dialogue between what you’re trying to achieve as a business and what your customers want. And there is no better way of doing it than crowdfunding.” From early crowdfunders (including a Royal Mail postman who once popped into the office to say hello) to more than 30,000 retail investors today, that dialogue has shaped how we grow and what we’re building next, including AI-powered financial guidance and many new products launching this year. • As January closes, the wins roll on at Chip HQ. 🚀 Sandbox spotlight: A big day at the Financial Conduct Authority's headquarters in Stratford on Wednesday, where Corinna Lamberti and Garry Sanders presented the Wealth Agent at the AI Supercharged Sandbox Showcase. The team watched from the office, cheering them on and we couldn’t be prouder of what they presented. 📺 This week marks the formal announcement of our partnership with Channel 4 Ventures. An exciting step as we scale our ambition and reach more and more people. As our co-founder Alex Latham put it, this investment accelerates our mission of making wealth building simple, personal and accessible and building the next household name in UK finance. You can read more about it at the link in the comments. 🏆 Reflecting on a huge milestone in January: we were named the 16th fastest-growing tech company in the UK by The Times and Sunday Times and included on the list for the second year running. A moment that reflects the hard work of a hugely committed team and the continued support of our community. What a way to kick off 2026. 👋 A warm Chip welcome to Adam Wright who joins us as Webflow Developer, we’re thrilled to have you on board. 🎉 We’re celebrating three Chipversaries this week: congratulations to Sugi Satheesh and Ingrida S. on completing one year at Chip, and to Savvas Georgiou for three years with us. Thank you for everything you do. Here’s to many more years of building Chip together.

  • Chip now has over 30,000 retail shareholders. That’s not a typo – and it’s not something you see very often in UK private companies. In September, we completed a £17m funding round led by Channel 4 Ventures, marking their largest media-for-equity investment to date. The partnership set the foundation for our biggest brand moment yet, including our first major TV advertising push as we scale Chip into a more comprehensive, personalised wealth platform. What really defined this round, though, was who backed it. Alongside Channel 4 Ventures, more than 9,000 retail investors invested £11m via Crowdcube, making it the largest equity crowdfund in Europe last year. Today, Chip has over 30,000 retail shareholders, making it one of the most invested in companies by shareholders,  and we’ve since introduced an annual secondary sale register to give early investors a clearer path to liquidity. This round is a powerful signal of belief: from our community, and from one of the UK’s most trusted media institutions. As our co-founder and CMO Alex Latham put it, this investment gives us the platform to accelerate our mission: making wealth-building simple, personal and accessible and building the next household name in UK finance. The team built it. Customers backed it. That’s enough said 🚀 If you want the full story on the round and what it unlocked, you can read more here: https://lnkd.in/ea_xMxVH

  • Today, The Sunday Times announced Chip as the 16th fastest-growing tech company in the UK. We’re incredibly proud to be included on the list for a second year in a row. It’s a milestone that reflects the work of a hugely committed team and the continued support of our community. What a way to kick off 2026, it’s going to be our biggest year yet (as we say every year, but this year we really mean it!) Thank you for being with us on the journey!
