Delivered a hands-on workshop across two engineering colleges as part of Build //localhost: Mangaluru – College Edition, helping students move beyond AI chat experiences into modern software engineering workflows powered by GitHub Copilot and AI coding agents. Participants followed a complete end-to-end development journey, starting from an empty terminal and progressing through application scaffolding, code generation, context management, containerization, deployment preparation, and cloud-ready delivery workflows. Rather than focusing on prompt engineering alone, the workshop demonstrated how GitHub Copilot CLI can function as an autonomous engineering partner throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Community Impact: Helped bridge the gap between academic programming and real-world engineering by enabling students to experience modern AI-native development workflows, GitHub Copilot CLI, automated development practices, and cloud deployment concepts through an interactive, build-along workshop.

While reviewing and supporting delivery of the Microsoft Build 2026 LAB501: From Zero to Deployed on Azure with AI Agents workshop, identified a critical gap in the published lab instructions. The workshop assumed the presence of a Cosmos DB instance, container, and dataset, but the provisioning guidance was missing for participants running the lab outside the Skillable-managed environment. This created a workshop-blocking issue for attendees and proctors attempting to complete the exercises independently. Reported the issue to the maintainers, documented the impact on workshop execution, and worked with the content owners to validate the remediation. The workshop documentation was subsequently updated through PR #47 to include the required Cosmos DB provisioning guidance, and the issue was resolved and closed.

Organized and coordinated Build //localhost:Mumbai - The Builder's Edition, a Microsoft Build community event designed to bring Microsoft Build technical content and hands-on learning experiences to the local developer community. Responsibilities included event planning, speaker coordination, community outreach, registration management, venue logistics, agenda curation, attendee engagement, and overall event execution. The event featured expert sessions on GitHub Copilot, Kubernetes, Azure, container security, developer tooling, and AI agents, culminating in a hands-on workshop based on official Microsoft Build content.

The article examines the challenges of managing highly oversubscribed community events and presents a fairness-aware, AI-assisted approach for cohort selection and attendee curation. The post introduces core platform concepts including the Decision Cockpit, fairness budgeting, AI-assisted applicant triage, explainable candidate evaluation, cohort impact simulation, and AI-generated starter cohorts while preserving human decision-making authority. It also explores practical applications of Azure AI Foundry, Aspire orchestration, privacy-first AI architectures, and responsible AI design patterns for community operations.
