Connect your WooCommerce store to start collecting and showing product reviews. This guide walks you through your logo and colors, existing reviews, review widget, and request emails.
Create your account and store
Choose a Reviewbird plan, create your account, and enter your store details. You can set up your store before you add payment details.
Connect your store
- Check the store address on the Connect step. To correct it, select Edit store address.
- In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New.
- Search for Reviewbird. Install and activate the plugin.
- Return to Reviewbird. Wait for Plugin detected, or select Check again.
- Select Connect WooCommerce.
- Approve the requested read and write access in WooCommerce.
- When you see Connected, select Add your brand.

Reviewbird starts to import your products after you connect. You can add your brand while it works.
Add your brand
- Upload a logo or enter a link to your logo image. You can also continue without a logo.
- Choose the Button color and Star color.
- Select the Default customer language for your emails and review forms.
- Select Continue to import.

Import your reviews
Wait for the product import to finish so Reviewbird can match your reviews to the correct products.
- To bring over your existing WooCommerce reviews, select Import WooCommerce reviews.
- For reviews from another app, select the app under Import more reviews?.
- Check the file format, choose a CSV or XLSX file of 10 MB or less, and select Import reviews.
- Select Continue to widget. You do not need to wait for the review import to finish.

No reviews to import yet? Select I'll do this later. For help with an import file, see Import your reviews.
Enable and check the widget
The review widget shows customer reviews on your product pages and gives customers a place to write a review.
- Select Open widget settings.
- In WordPress, turn on Reviewbird Widget.
- Return to Reviewbird. The setup page checks your product page and shows a preview of the widget and rating stars.
- Check the preview. If the page reports a problem, follow its instructions and select Check again.
- Select Continue to emails.

To put the widget in a different position, see Install and move Reviewbird widgets.
Set up review request emails
Choose when customers receive their first review request. Allow enough time for them to receive and use their purchase.
- Check the email Subject.
- Under When WooCommerce order status reaches, select the status that should start the wait.
- Set Wait before sending. The default is 14 days.
- Leave Enable review request reminders checked to follow up with customers who have not reviewed their purchase. The page shows the reminder schedule.
- Select Send a test to my email to check the message in your inbox.
- Select Enable emails after checkout.

Start your trial or finish setup
Select Start trial to complete checkout and start your 30-day trial. Check your plan, price, and trial dates before you confirm. Reviewbird can then send the request emails you enabled.
After setup, open Collect to change your messages, schedule, or exceptions. Use Branding to change your logo and email design.
FAQ
Reviewbird asks me to check my permalink settings. What should I do?
In WordPress, open Settings > Permalinks. Select an option other than Plain and save. If another option is already selected, save it again. Return to Reviewbird and select Check again.
Why does Reviewbird not detect the plugin?
Check that the store address is correct and the Reviewbird plugin is active in WordPress. Then select Check again. If the check still fails, ask your host to check whether a firewall or security plugin blocks the WordPress REST API.
I installed the plugin. How do I continue setup?
Select Continue setup on the Reviewbird page in WordPress. This returns you to Reviewbird, where you can connect WooCommerce and complete the remaining steps.
Why are the rating stars missing from the preview?
A product needs an approved review before it has a star rating. If the product already has reviews, follow the check results on the Widget step. You can also open the product page to check it directly.
Can I finish setup later?
Yes. Select Save and finish later. When you return to Reviewbird, you can continue from the same step.
Which plan is selected if I did not choose one?
Reviewbird selects Starter when you create a store in the app, or Plus with monthly billing when you register through the WordPress plugin. A plan you chose earlier stays selected. Check the plan at checkout before you start your trial.
What if my store already has a subscription?
To turn on emails for a store with a plan, select Enable review request emails. Starter, Plus, and Everything include reminders.
Select Finish setup instead of Start trial. Enable the widget or review request emails before you finish. If an agency or multi-store subscription covers the new store, you do not need a separate subscription for it.
Only your organization owner or an Administrator can complete checkout or change the number of stores on a shared subscription.
Can I keep my Free plan?
Existing stores on the Free plan keep their access. New stores need a trial or paid subscription, including new stores added by an existing Free plan customer.
