Midstack Friday Share Thread
Share a recent Post or Note with our Midstack community
It’s Friday!
Here at Midstack, our community for midlife women writing on Substack, I host a Friday Midstack share thread three times each month.
Our share threads are chances for you to share a recent piece of writing from Substack with us. Besides posting your writing, I encourage you to connect with each other in the comments. I love to see collaborations and friendships bloom from these threads! We are here to support each other and to grow together.
** Over at Midstory Magazine, our sister publication, we just announced our spring call for submissions. If you have an original piece of writing — not published on Substack or anywhere else — that you’d like to share with our Midstory audience, learn more about our submissions guidelines here:
Share a recent Post or Note below in the comments.
Write a brief introduction (a sentence or two about what the writing is about) to your post or note. I’d love for you to tell us a little big about your Substack, especially if you’re new here!
Post the link to your Substack post or note.
Read through other posts. Pick a few with which you connect.
Restack, write a comment, or even cross-post. Even better, you can also subscribe to publications that interest you or follow other midlife writers.
Return to the thread during the week to keep the conversation and sharing going.
Enjoy your weekend! xo Jessica

My latest Note - It’s not a midlife crisis. It’s a midlife renaissance. I’m new here. Celebrating 40 subscribers today 🎉 I write for women in midlife - stories about the ocean, Jamaica, and what happens when you finally say yes to yourself https://substack.com/@surfsoulretreats/note/c-246901607?r=7slru1&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action
Happy Friday everyone! Jessica thank you for creating this space where we can connect with other like-minded women and support each other!
I wrote this Note last week about how I purposefully reinvented my life after my husband passed away and my children went out on their own (I had forgotten about my excursion into roller-derby until I wrote the post 😅).
My Substack is about making confident decisions so we create a life by design, and not by default.
