In 2012, I, Liesbeth, packed up life in downtown Amsterdam and moved with my husband and three children to a charming village in the South of France. And we never looked back! Since 2017, I've been sharing the best of this beautiful region through my blog La Ramoneta and on Substack. Along the way, I became a property finder, helping others make their own French dream a reality. Now based in Béziers, I run food tours through this beautiful city and am about to launch an exciting new project combining a place to stay with artistic/culinary workshops. More on that soon!
La Ramoneta
The name of this Substack – La Ramoneta – comes from the Occitan language. One day my daughter and I were buying veggies at our local shop. My little girl likes to chatter away, so the shop lady called her “une Ramoneta”. Meaning: a curious little girl. Ever since this name was stuck in my head and when I was looking for a name for my blog, one and one became two.
