Magical Wednesday: Lets talk about the Power of the Sun

Welcome to another Wednesday Magical.

Today and everyday is a wonderful day to spend some time with one of the most powerful and accessible spiritual allies available to us every day: the Sun.

From the beginning of time across this amazing planet, the Sun has long been associated with confidence, courage, vitality, leadership, success, visibility, personal power, and radiance. It governs how we show up in the world. It teaches us about consistency, presence, and the power of being witnessed.

The Sun rises every day without apology.

It does not ask permission to shine.
It does not negotiate its brilliance.
It does not make itself smaller so that others feel more comfortable.

It simply rises.

There is medicine in that.

Many of us have been taught to shrink.

To lower our voices.
To hide our gifts.
To make ourselves more digestible.
To stay in the shadows of our own lives.

Some of that shrinking was taught to us through oppression.
Some of it through trauma.
Some of it through rejection.
Some of it through survival.

But eventually there comes a moment when survival is no longer enough.

There comes a moment when we must choose visibility.

Not because visibility is always easy.
Not because visibility is always safe.

But because our dreams require it.

Our healing requires it.

Our liberation requires it.

The world cannot benefit from gifts we refuse to share.

The Sun reminds us that confidence is not something we wait to feel.

Confidence is something we practice.

Every sunrise is an act of faith.

Every sunrise is a reminder that showing up consistently creates power.

May June continue to light the way toward rest, restoration, and rejuvenation. May the fire of our passion fuel our discipline. May we be rooted in clarity, courage, and conviction. May we remember that our light was never meant to be hidden. May we find the strength to shine even when the world tells us to dim ourselves.

Happy Pride Month.

This Pride hits different for me.

The last day of May I received the type of news that alters your spirit, heart, mind, and soul. The kind of news that causes time to slow down. The kind of news that sends you to the altar.

I spent the entire afternoon and evening in deep prayer, ritual, and ceremony.

Then I woke up on the first day of June—the first day of Pride—reflecting.

Reflecting on how important it is to shine your light even when you think no one can see it.

How necessary it is to bloom fully into your purpose in the face of others telling you your flower has no place in this garden.

How holy it is to declare, define, and celebrate your divine and righteous humanity in the face of danger.

How sacred it is to exist as yourself when the world keeps trying to convince you that you should be someone else.

Not from the people who wounded you.
Not from the systems that benefited from your silence.
Not from the family members, friends, or co-workers who became comfortable with your shrinking.
Not from institutions that only know how to value you when you are exhausted, broken, obedient, or disappearing.

You need NO ONE’S permission outside of yourself… To rise is personal power.

Let’s begin here:

Your name is not just what people call you.
It is what you answer to.
It is what you agree to.
It is what you become in the mouths of others and in the quiet of your own spirit.

So the question is not just… what is your name?

The question is:

Does your name still belong to you?

Blessing for Identity Expansion

Liberation Conjure-gation,

Growth will ask something of your identity.

Not politely.
Not slowly.
But honestly.

There are versions of you that got you here—
brilliant, necessary, protective versions—
that cannot go where you are going.

And that truth can feel like betrayal
if you have been taught to cling to who you have been.

But hear me clearly—
evolution is not abandonment.
Expansion is not disloyalty to your past.

It is devotion to your becoming.

Too often, we grip identities like lifelines:
the strong one,
the helper,
the survivor,
the one who makes it work no matter what.

And while those identities may have saved you,
they were never meant to cage you.

Sovereignty requires movement.
Self-trust requires flexibility.
And expansion requires your permission.

So today, we pray.
