Hi everyone, I've recently been messing around with FeatureScript and decided to make a thread feature for 3D-printed plastic parts. The general concept came from the ThreadCreator script written by David Cowden almost 8 years ago. His script works really well and has even more configurability than mine but I wanted to tap…
Hey all — long-time Onshape user, wanted to share something I've been building and using in production. The problem: Getting vector artwork (logos, cutout profiles, panel designs, icons) into Onshape as real, editable sketch geometry is annoying. DXF import can be inconsistent, and manually retracing SVGs with the sketch…
I always wanted to play with some featurescript and found Claude is really good at generating it. All of this started with me wanting to design our new kitchen with Onshape. I realized I don't want to recreate each cabinet so I asked Claude to go find all the dimensions and variants of IKEA kitchens and it found the IKEA…
I've been working on Stud Wall for a while and it feels pretty stable now. I had some assistance from Claude in the code, and it wrote the full User Guide (thank you @GregBrown for giving me the idea to ask AI to do that part). I'll soon publish Sheathe and a console-output version of Lumber List. I also have Door almost…

i need this to have dimensions of the roll but it is a spline sketch so how do i make the dimentions of the roll in a sheet metal part?
I made a cutout of an airfoil and want to move it forward about 7mm from where it started to make space for a leading edge slat that I am attempting to create. I am currently copy and pasting the sketch, re-aligning it to it's original position, then moving it forwards, but the cut-out section of the airfoil keeps on…
I have an idea to build a kinetic wave driven sea water Desalinization station. useing the kinetic motion of waves to produce both driving of the gear mechanisim and pumping of clean water to storrage. the portion that is submerged needs to be robust enough to survive extended periods in sea water so i think stainless…
